• Steenplein - We board the public Waterbus, a high-speed catamaran that swiftly carries us over the river Scheldt. Along the way, we encounter numerous activities and sights, many of which are not even listed on TripAdvisor, offering a truly unique experience off the beaten path!

The Waterbus is a form of public transport, so we share it with others. However, our group is small, allowing for plenty of opportunities to ask questions during the tour. On sunny days, you can sit outside, while in colder or rainy weather, you can stay inside the heated cabin with large windows.

We journey across the river Scheldt into the port, passing a variety of activities: docks, locks, terminals, industry, nature, villages, and more. The guide provides explanations and connects these sights into a coherent and structured narrative about the port of Antwerp.

• Fort Lillo - After an hour, we arrive at the heart of the port, where we disembark to explore the charming port village of Lillo Fort. Here, time seems to have stood still, yet we have a view of the latest port expansions, including Europe’s largest container terminal. We tour the village and visit a cozy café for a drink, which is included in the tour price!
• Fort Liefkenshoek - As we reboard the Waterbus to return to the city, we pass the same activities again. This time, with a foundational understanding of the port, the guide delves deeper into the unique aspects that make the port of Antwerp special. A fresh perspective unfolds as we head back to town.
