The Salar de Atacama stands as Chile’s most expansive salt flat, created by a basin devoid of drainage that accumulates water from the San Pedro River and several rivulets, permitting water to seep in from the mountain range.
Within its bounds lies the captivating Laguna Cejar, a lagoon with a striking turquoise hue. The elevated saline concentration in the water leads to buoyancy, ensuring a soothing soak and an enjoyable time.
