Amazing day tour - Our Tourguide Kevin did an amazing job showing us around and sharing about Guatemalan culture. I was worried about the language barrier but his English was very good. He was attentive and accommodated for what everyone in the group wanted. If I had more time I’d stay in lake atitlan overnight. However I was able to see alot in the day tour. If you’re coming from Antigua be prepared for a long bumpy ride it took around 2.5 hours to get there and back. I went by myself and our tour had group of 4 during low season. The tour included free breakfast and tasting of chocolate, honey, and weaving demonstration. It was very interesting to see and experience

Free experience - Booking was easy by the website, is reliable and meets the security requirements of a website. In the morning they picked me up at the agreed time and place, but kept me informed of how they were picking up other customers before me. We had 2 drivers, the first named Marco, super gentle, polite and friendly. Then we switch to one called Americ. American, he was also very kind, but I was surprised by 2 things about him. The first was the way you drove, you were extremely responsible. He never had dangerous attitudes, you could tell he wanted to take care of us. The second thing was his level of education, he is studious, gave us interesting data and had a very enjoyable chat with the group, I wish all the drivers were like Marco and Americo. The guide who touched us is called Eduardo, a lot of knowledge, an incredible facility to present his ideas, he took the time to talk to each of the participants, too professional, we had a drawback with one of the boats, nothing serious, but they resolved quickly and effectively. Eduardo always looked after us and made sure we were okay at all times. The activities within the tour were enough to learn from the villages and their culture but without getting tired, they have a perfect balance. I will continue to recommend Connections Guatemala Travel and please congratulate Marco, Americo and Eduardo. They're the best.
