• Antigua - A skilled driver will greet you at your hotel entrance at 5:30 a.m. in Antigua to embark on a scenic drive through stunning mountains and valleys en route to Panajachel, Lake Atitlán. The trip lasts about 3 hours.
• Panajachel - Delight in meeting a local host at a restaurant on Santander Main Street in Panajachel for a traditional breakfast (approximately 50 minutes). Here, you will also meet your local guide around 9:20 a.m.
• San Juan la Laguna - Enjoy a 40-minute boat journey to San Juan La Laguna, a picturesque village steeped in ancient culture. Visit local women’s cooperatives and participate in traditional textile workshops, where you will discover how natural dyes from plants and trees are used to color fabrics.
• Santiago Atitlan - From San Juan La Laguna, take the same boat to Santiago Atitlán, one of the most traditional villages in the area and home to the Mayan Tz’utujil people. It is a unique and impressive experience to meet the locals, who are renowned for their friendliness and artistic talents. You will learn about their traditional backstrap loom weaving techniques and how they handcraft their own textiles.

Note: In this largest village around the lake, there will be an optional lunch stop, recommended by your local guide.

• Antigua - Your driver will collect you in Panajachel at 4:00 p.m. for the return journey to Antigua. The drive takes about 3 hours.
