Wonderful experience - We paid just a few dollars extra for the private tour, and it was well worth it. Our guide, Carlos, was super knowledgeable and personable. He told such interesting information and stories about Antigua, and he was very patient while we did a little shopping :).

The perfect introduction to Antugua - Luis was probably the best tour guide I have ever had: he was extremely knowledgable and shared lot of interesting information, but he also made it fun and accessible for everyone. He taught us some Mayan words that we still remember, and did a couple of fun quizzes along the way. This was exactly what we were looking for in a tour - not too long, not too serious, but we learned a lot about Antigua. I was impressed that he knew the answer to just about every question we threw at him, but he was also honest when he (once) didn't know the answer. We also liked the sites he chose to focus on and we had the opportunity to enter a few places to see inside. Thank you so much!

Friendly and informative tour with Maria - We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour with Maria. It's clear she loves Antigua and she shared her passion and knowledge with us. The tour was great value and really enhanced our short break. Highly recommend.

Nice mix of buildings and culture - I really enjoyed this tour because Cristina provided a nice mix of discussing several of the important buildings but she also spent considerable time talking about the culture and history of Antigua and provided lots of interesting facts. There was a short 15 minute tour of a shop that sold Jade jewelry given by one of the sales people there.

Tour guide was... - Tour guide was exceptional. Took his time to find out what we wanted to see and learn about. He knew the area very well, interjecting facts and local lore.

Lovely walking tour with Carlos - Really appreciated that Carlos waited a very long time for us to arrive as our bus from Puerto Quetzal was very delayed. We enjoyed the tour and the architectural details and context Carlos pointed out. Didn’t get to the old city or the cathedral ruins, but that might have been due to our time constraints. Great option to see many of the highlights and some sights we definitely would have missed without having a guide. Definitely recommend!

Fine Tour - It was fine. It was overpriced for what it was. We didn’t really see anything and our guide didn’t really teach us much and what he did say was hard for my partner to understand.

Not worth it. - The tour guide was nice but she was injured and couldn’t walk much. We also had a difficult time hearing and understanding her at times. We hardly walked the city at all. She kept having us sit down after going only a short way. I am guessing because she needed to rest her bad knee. Considering this was a walking tour, I felt like it was a rip off. I think we could have learned and seen so much more on a different tour. I cannot recommend this one. But I wish the very best for our guide’s recovery from her injury.
