Tana – Andasibe
Andasibe - Departing Antananarivo in the morning, the journey heads east. The road meanders through lush highlands, passing traditional clay houses and expansive rice fields. A stop in Marozevo offers a visit to a private reptile and butterfly reserve, where chameleons, geckos, and vibrant butterflies can be seen in their natural environment. By afternoon, the group arrives in Andasibe, a quaint village on the rainforest’s edge. The rich vegetation and humid forest air set the stage for upcoming nature adventures.
Andasibe – Analamazaotra National Park
Andasibe - Early morning departure to Analamazaotra National Park. The hike through the dense rainforest is accompanied by the loud calls of the Indris, Madagascar’s largest lemur species. With some luck, chameleons, birds, and other lemurs may also be spotted. The mossy ground, high humidity, and exotic bird calls create a unique atmosphere. The day concludes with an optional night hike to observe nocturnal animals like chameleons and small lemurs.
Andasibe – Antsirabe
Antsirabe - The journey returns to Antananarivo and continues south. The road traverses the central Highlands, featuring rice fields, pine forests, and bustling small towns. In Ambatolampy, a visit to a traditional aluminum foundry showcases the transformation of recycled materials into cooking pots. By late afternoon, the group arrives in Antsirabe, a charming city with colonial charm, where colorful rickshaws and a mild climate offer a warm welcome.

Morondava - An early start for the long drive west. The landscape shifts dramatically: mountains give way to vast plains and dry savanna. Along the route, rural life is observed, with stops at small markets or for photo opportunities. In the villages, traditional clay buildings and curious children are encountered. By evening, Morondava is reached, where the Indian Ocean greets with a sunset and refreshing sea breeze.
