• Antananarivo - Begin the tour at the Rova of Antananarivo, the historic royal palace situated on the city’s highest hill. Explore the ruins and enjoy panoramic views of Antananarivo. Walk down to the Analakely Market, a lively market where you can browse local crafts, souvenirs, and street food. Take time to absorb the vibrant atmosphere. Head to the Avenue of Independence, a popular street lined with shops, cafes, and vendors. Enjoy a leisurely stroll and observe daily life in Antananarivo. Visit the Tsimbazaza Zoo and Botanical Garden to see Madagascar’s unique flora and fauna. Spend time exploring the zoo and enjoying the greenery. Conclude the tour with a visit to Lake Anosy, a picturesque lake in the heart of the city. Relax by the water and enjoy the serene surroundings before ending the city tour.

• Kirindy Forest Morondava Madagascar - Early morning transfer to the airport. Pick-up is at 4:15 AM for the internal flight with Tsaradia (TZ 702 Antananarivo – TNR 06:30 Morondava – MOQ 07:35). Upon arrival, meet the guide for this part of the trip. Transfer directly to Kirindy Forest (2:30 hours by 4×4 car), stopping at Ankiba Lodge to visit “Baobab Lamoureux.” Walk in the forest to see the “baobabs in love” and various species of lemurs and birds. In the afternoon (5 PM), prepare for the night walk excursion to the reserve.

• Kirindy Forest Morondava Madagascar - Depart the hotel by 6 AM for a daily visit to Kirindy Reserve. After a four-hour walk in the forest, return to the hotel for lunch and check out. Kirindy is a privately managed forest in one of Madagascar’s most threatened ecosystems: its dry deciduous forests. It is renowned for the giant jumping rat and is home to seven species of lemur and several endemic reptiles. The flora is equally unique, with several exclusive species found at Kirindy. Around 2 PM, drive to the Alley of Baobabs. This is an unforgettable travel day as you admire the beauty of these giant trees at sunset. Wait until 6:30 PM to capture a stunning picture of the sky’s different colors with the baobabs. Return to the hotel in Morondava around 7 PM.

• Morondava - Depart the hotel in the morning. Transfer to the airport for the domestic flight to Antananarivo. Upon arrival in Antananarivo, meet for a city tour to purchase souvenirs, then transfer to the hotel for the night. The rest of the time is at leisure.

• Andasibe - After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Marozevo to visit an exotic animal breeding center owned by naturalist Andre Pereyras. See various chameleon species, along with butterflies, leaf-tailed geckos, and lemurs. Along National Road 2, enjoy breathtaking views of stepped rice fields and mountains. Continuing east, pass through lush vegetation and visit Andasibe-Perinet National Park to explore primary forests. Upon reaching Vakona, experience an up-close encounter with lemurs on Lemurs Island, then visit the Vakona Reserve Zoo to see crocodiles, native birds, and more. The day ends with a guided night visit before returning to the hotel at 6:30 PM.

• Analamazaotra Special Reserve - After breakfast, begin with a guided visit to Analamazaotra National Park. It’s best to leave the hotel early (around 7:30 AM) to easily spot the Diademed Sifaka in their natural habitat. The visit lasts about 3 hours. Within a mile of the park, hear the distinct call of the Indri, the largest living lemur, in the morning and late afternoon. Andasibe is ideal for observing these lemurs, as several families are habituated to humans. The Indri, considered sacred in Madagascar, lives in small groups and cannot survive in captivity. In addition to the Indri, 13 other lemur species, including the grey bamboo lemur and black-and-white ruffed lemur, inhabit the forest. After the visit, drive back to Antananarivo for the flight home.
