I recommend 💯 - I loved that guided walking tour so much. Learnt a lot. I appreciated also that the tour provider directly reached out to ask if I have any specific preferences, he was punctual, explained me directly the program points of the day and has been very transparent with the transport/ taxis which would need to be taken to not loose valuable time for the great spots/ places. I had Nelson as a guide and really enjoyed discovering Tana on foot. Thanks again 🙏

English speaking walking tour of Tana - My walk/drive around Antanarivo with Viviane was truly so enjoyable. Viviane went above and beyond to give me the full experience of what this interesting city has to offer, extending our original allotted time to make sure I didn't miss anything! I can't believe how much we packed into a day and she was so knowledgeable and eager to share everything from history to culture. Her passion is infectious and I learnt lots in my time with her. I regret not making this experience my entry point to this beautiful country so that I could have picked Viviane's brain more! I would trust her to look after me again if I ever get to return to the incredible Madagascar 💛 Thank you

Walk like a local, know Madagascar's past and present - Tour guide Tahiry contacted me the day after I placed the order, which is called a ‘like’ in the locals’ custom trip, originally made us a little worried, but because Tahiry asked the needs in advance and want us not to worry, he will definitely help us arrange. Jan.05, he came to ask if the trip was confirmed, and I said I'm afraid I can't go too long for more days, so let him help arrange a paid pedestrian. On Jan.07 at 8:50 in the morning, he arrived early, checking out which places to get off and roam in depth, which just passed by to take pictures, and then smoothly get up. He is clear about history and keeps an eye on our pace, allowing us to fully experience Madagascar’s past and present.

Good city tour - Our nelson guide was very informative, has great Communication Capacity (in covers) and interest in tourist safety. It is important to consider that the cost of personal transportation is somewhat high (it may be more than The Tour). But if it is a great option to know the city if you have little time.

My tour was cut short due to the protests in the capital, but the tour was still worth it. - We couldn’t do much due to the political protests going on in the capital city when I visited unfortunately. As a result, they called and offered me to cancel for a refund if I wanted but I chose to keep the tour because I only had 2 days in Madagascar. Nelson was my tour guide and he and his driver came and picked me up in a car (was extra) so we could do the tour safely, it wasn’t safe to do it by walking during the protests. All we got to do was go to the viewpoint on the highest hill in the city by the Andafiavaratra Palace and the Queen’s Palace during sunset, which was beautiful so I’m glad we did that. Keeping the your was worth it for me though and I asked Nelson at the end if he could give me a guided tour the next day outside the capital to some of the nature & wildlife preserves in the country which turned out to be an excellent choice. I’ll touch on that tour in another review but overall this was worth doing even if it was cut short from the political protests in the capital. Definitely consider doing this tour while you’re visiting the capital city of Madagascar, hope you get Nelson as your guide because he was excellent. - Nolan

Great way to learn about Malagasy culture - Our local guide Lanto took us on foot from our hotel in Independence Square up to the Queens Palace, stopping along various points of interest along the way (which we wouldn't have realised if travelling independently), and showed us around the museum in the Queens Palace. Lanto was very friendly and highly knowledgeable- sharing interesting stories about the Malagasy culture, and was able to answer all our questions. Remember to bring local cash for the Queens Palace (40k Ar per foreigner, plus 10k Ar for the local guide).
