- Cheaha State Park - Experience the splendor of Alabama’s highest point at Cheaha Resort State Park, an “island in the sky.” Located at the southernmost end of the Appalachian mountain chain, it is Alabama’s oldest park (established in 1933) and is regarded as one of the nation’s most distinctive parks. Envision 2,799 acres of granite boulders and ancient, wind-sculpted trees at 2,407 feet above sea level, often above the clouds, surrounded by 392,567 acres of the Talladega National Forest, including 7,245 acres of Cheaha Wilderness.
- International Motorsports Hall of Fame - Since 1983, the International Motorsports Hall of Fame has showcased some of the most iconic vehicles from various racing disciplines, including stock cars, open wheel, endurance, modified, and motorcycles. Starting in 1990, motorsports legends who piloted these machines began to be honored in this esteemed venue.
- Mustang Museum of America - The only Mustang museum in the United States, featuring over 100 Mustangs on display. It includes all generations from 1964-1/2 to 2015 (the first 50 years) and the largest collection of SSP Mustangs used by Highway Patrol in 32 states and other government agencies. Located in Odenville, Alabama, approximately 20 miles northeast of Birmingham, it is open Friday through Sunday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with additional hours available by appointment.
