Our guide, Pete, was... - Our guide, Pete, was excellent. We were on a cruise and he met us at the port. We walked to a great pub and saw a lot of sites of Liverpool along the way. We ubered from the pub to Anfield. Unfortunately, we couldn’t go inside because of the upcoming Taylor Swift concerts, but we walked around outside and went through the museum. Plan for rain, but that is just part of the experience. We had a great time despite the weather and lack of access to the inside of the stadium.

Satisfied - Peter the tour guide was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and a Liverpool native. He went above and beyond during this tour due to a scheduling mishap by City Planner.

Great guide! - So this would have been a 5 star review if we would have had the opportunity to actually tour the stadium. Now I know that's nobody's fault but our own due to the date that we scheduled our walking tour but nonetheless, I do believe some improvements could be made to the booking details and / or possible updates. For example: Yes, our guide, Peter, did communicate with me and let me know that due to a Bruce Springsteen concert happening at Anfield we would not be able to tour the grounds, but even the team shop at the stadium was closed. I think this was a bit much. Also in the booking it states that we could visit the pub where the Liverpool team was "conceived", but when we got there it was closed even though their online hours stated otherwise. All in all, we really enjoyed our guide, Peter. He gave some great history, stories, and personal takes that were honest and beautiful. I know he did his best and even covered our Uber fees and bought us a local pastry out of his own pocket. Big props and compliments to Peter but I left just slightly disappointed.

Tour not done due to issues with guide - We missed the tour due to the guide not wantng to take us to Anfield 1st as we asked, then not giving us specifics we wanted, instead saying we”d ”work something out” & then not replyng back to us the night before either. When he finally got back to us in the morning we were havng bfast & then couldnt leave Chester (where we were staying) until late. Then due to rain, traffic, etc we didnt get into Liverpool until after 1200, (unfort the guide said he would only wait until 1200). So we ended up doing our own thing at Anfield.
