The Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel allows access to Whittier thirty minutes past each hour. Departures from Whittier occur on the hour, every hour, until 11:00 PM.

In Whittier, embark on the Glacier Quest Cruise, which sails from the charming seaside town to the glacier-laden Blackstone Bay, a striking deep-water fjord home to two tidewater glaciers and numerous alpine glaciers. Be on the lookout for sea otters, Steller sea lions, bears, mountain goats, whales, and more!
Witness several glaciers, including Tebenkof Glacier, named after Mikhail Demitrievich Tebenkof, a remarkable surveyor whose maps were the first charts of Alaska’s waters published in 1852. Northland Glacier stands majestically, clinging to the edge of the towering mountain. Blackstone and Beloit are tidewater glaciers that have carved a steep path to reach the saltwater of Prince William Sound. Cruise close to these enormous glaciers to observe the distinctive “pop” of glacier ice calving, indicating movement.
