Best Kept Secret in Anchorage - I got a chance to make a quick 2 day business trip to Anchorage, and I've always wanted to see the Northern Lights. I found Alaska Outdoor Gear Rental on Trip Advisor when I was looking for tours and they were a life saver. The gear was clean and in good condition and kept me toasty warm. The cost was about the same as checking a suitcase, which I would have had to do to bring winter gear, and mine wouldn't have been as good as this. Several members of my tour were too cold to stay out with us the whole night, but I was toasty warm and got to spend three hours watching an amazing Northern LIghts display. I booked last minute, and didn't have a rental car, so I payed extra to have the items delivered and picked up from my hotel. They even threw in boots in two sizes to make sure I had ones that fit since I wasn't totally sure of my size. Highly recommend, would definitely rent from them again.

Their outdoor clothing made our trip successful! - I highly recommend Alaska Outdoor Gear Rental. We were in Fairbanks. Evening temps ranged from -2 to -11 and daytime temps went above 12 only once. This gear kept us comfortable outdoors while searching for the aurora, walking with reindeer, and viewing outdoor exhibits for Ice Alaska. Was only cold when taking off the gloves to take photos :-) One tip: be sure to thoroughly check the gear before leaving. My bad, I only tried the right boot and I discovered a minor issue with the left later that night. Boots were easily swapped the next morning. We will definitely use this company when returning to Alaska.

Super helpful and super warm! - The gear kept me warm the whole time I was out hiking and even while standing around looking at the aurora for over an hour. I never wanted to take off the jacket and honestly didn’t even realize how cold it is whenever I had it on! They were flexible and helpful and got me everything I needed quickly and had excellent recommendations to make sure I had a great Alaska experience. Can’t recommend highly enough! Will definitely use them again on my next trip.

A Seamless Process - From the time I contacted Alaska Outdoor Gear Company, I couldn't have asked for better customer service. I rented clothing for my grandkids coming from Florida and, although I had to modify my order several times, it was never an issue. I would highly recommend this company for all of your outdoor needs.

Deshaan: Sister Bear - I took many pictures of the majestic mountains in Alaska. I was able to withstand the Alaskan winds with little ease. I took some wonderful pictures of moose. While I did not catch an Aurora, I know my daughter will dance under the Alaskan sky forever more.

Will Definately Rent From Again - At the last minute it rained and the venue recommended ice cleats to safely get around. I simply texted with the request and it was no problem to add a pair to my pick up order. Good price on gear and great customer service. Will use them again!

Great gear and good customer service for an EXCELLENT price!!! - Went dog sledding and the high temperature that day was 6 degrees. The gear was in excellent condition and did the job. I was as warm as possible under the conditions. Pick up was easy. Customers service was good. I am renting from them again soon!

No Refund even if excursion canceled by another Viator vendor - Do not order until the last minute because they will not refund past their deadline regardless of the reason. I wasn't able to use the cold rated package as my Northern Lights tour was canceled due to weather, which was beyond my control. I was able to give the cold rated package company more than 24 hours notice and never even picked up the items, but they would not refund the $45. They were very communicative prior to my request, but would not respond after I requested a refund.
