Learn about the resident wildlife through informative signs at each animal habitat. AWCC invites visitors to bring their walking shoes and cameras for an unforgettable educational Alaskan adventure. The sanctuary spans over 200 acres, providing spacious habitats where resident animals can exhibit their natural behaviors as educational ambassadors for their species. Visitors often witness brown bears swimming, moose strutting, wood bison roaming, muskox playing, wolves posing, porcupines climbing, and more!

Experience a delightful 4-hour journey from Anchorage to the Seward Cruise Terminal. Travel along the picturesque Seward Highway and through the breathtaking Turnagain Pass. The driver will share insights into the history of the Kenai Peninsula and Turnagain Pass, from the Indigenous peoples who originally inhabited the area, to Russian fur traders, and the discovery of gold, coal, and oil.

This tour features a visit to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, a nonprofit organization committed to preservation, education, research, and animal care. The center provides rehabilitation and permanent homes for injured and orphaned animals.
