Hoi An old town walking tour - We did a walking tour of Hoi An old town and followed that with a short car drive to the coconut village and a boat ride around that area and finished with a beautiful lunch. Man is a terrific guide, he is very knowledgeable, friendly & makes you feel relaxed on the tour. The old town to our brought us to many important areas & monuments in Hoi An & Man shared many interesting stories at the temples and other sites including the markets. Lunch in the coconut village was beautiful and very traditional Overall it was a 10/10 experience with Man.

Unique and amazing food experience - I did a cycling tour with Man, and had so much fun that I booked him for this food tour and I'm so glad I did! I got to try some really unique dishes that I never would have found on my own. Man was really helpful and made sure that he knew what foods I was comfortable with and which ones I probably wouldn't try, but I was game for almost anything! From sitting on tiny plastic chairs in an empty lot making our own pork wraps, to sitting with locals eating medium rare slow cooked beef, or enjoying beer and local appetizers at a local pub, I got to experience it all. Highly recommend Man for this, cycling and even a la tern making class in Hoi An, let him be your guide!

Authentic food! - We booked a food tour with Man after we experienced an amazing cycling tour in Hoi An. We had a great time with Man and had a few hours to spare in the afternoon. Man met us at a local shop and walked us through streets of Hoi An we had not yet explored. We first stopped for some black sesame soup, we were very hesitant and would never have chosen this for ourselves but loved every bite of it! We then walked to a second location and tried a second dish, I cannot remember the name, however it was also very nice. We had time for a third dish and were given an option between pork skewers and banh mi. We chose the skewers and were taken to a street side and enjoyed together. What we loved most about the food tour was that we got to try foods we would usually not try and go to places we would never have thought of.

Man is the man - My friend and I came across Man by chance as he had been booked by a group for this tour and they stood him up! By chance it had started raining in Hoi An and we stopped at this particular coffee shop. We started chatting and the tour sounded great so off we went! We walked to a heritage house to try black sesame soup which was almost like a tahini sweet slurry which I actually really enjoyed. We heard about the family that made this and the grandma is 101 and her husband was 108 when he passed away and they tribute their health and long lives to the black sesame. Next we walked along the streets to suburbia not quite sure where we were going next until the smell hit us of the Banh Beo. Another lovely smiling women who served up rice dish with this amazing delicious tomato sauce on top with fried rice crisps ( which tasted like pork crackling). This was one of my fav dishes of the night. Unfortunately the next stall wasn’t operating so we didn’t get to try a similar dish but with herbs. Instead we went to two ladies grilling pork skewers on the side of the road which I never personally would have felt brave enough to stop and eat their Nem Nuong Cuon (build your own rice paper rolls) the pork was bbq well and the dipping sauce was delish! We finished off the night along the river lighting candle lanterns and making well wishes for the future! Thanks Man we had a great tour for a completely chance encounter - we wish you all the best with your food tours!!
