Interesting and tasty. Exceeded expectations. The guide was excellent. I was surprised that we didn't do a bread or chocolates stop.
Overall it was a good tour. Perhaps include some meat based food and a beer or two. Our guide Aileen was pretty good. Very friendly.
Very well planned out. Each food venue was delicious and our guide was lovely and very knowledgeable.
The tour was great, the food was good, the tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable I just didn’t think it was a great value. My husband and I both left thinking we could have and for the money wish we would have had more to eat.
We had a great tour guide, Estephan, and the selected stops were diverse and enjoyable.
DJ was a great guide and the food was fantastic.
What fun and so delicious! Our guide was knowledgeable and energetic. And did she ever have us full by the end of the tour. I highly recommend this outing.
Would have been a 5 star, but just would have liked more food if you can believe that......and food I mean, not sweets....7 stops, and 3 were desserts.....maybe 5 regular food, and 2 deserts...one in the beginning and one at the end.....Estaphan was great, and mentioned this pizza place while we were having a "desert" and we thought "wow, why can't we go there instead" He was great btw thanks!!!
It was a good tour. However one or two of the stops were canceled for some reason so we ended up walking in circles for a long time between 2 stops.
This was the 2nd time we have taken an “Eating Europe” food tour and it did not disappoint! Our guide, Aileen, was funny and very informative. The reason why my husband and I love these tours is that it combines both delicious food and history. We will continue to take this tour every time we visit a city in which it is offered!
Our Tour guide was terrific and the afternoon was very informative not only in the eating experience but the local history. We enjoyed the whole afternoon. Lynne
Rene was very enjoyable to listen to. We went as a family with our 9 and 11 year olds and they loved it! it was a good variety of food and all of the shop owners were very kind. I would recommend this to everyone.
Jelte was our guide. He was so informative, interesting, pleasant,
It was excellent and I credit this to Jelte.
I would recommend this tour to anyone going to Amsterdam.
The guide was very competent. Due to his Education he is predestinated for this tour. We have noticed, that he appreciates to live in Amsterdam. We learned a lot about history and food. We had a very good time. Thanks.
While our guide, Djan, was very personable and knowledgeable, I felt the price of the tour was too high. The food samples we tried didn’t cost enough on their own to warrant the roughly $90 USD. And with tipping DJ it just felt too much for a 3 hour short distanced walking tour.
The tour itself was good but they were supposed to email us suggestions on other places to go in Amsterdam and instead they sent a link that states the meeting point for the food tour.
I thought DJ our guide was very good. He was personable and knowledgeable. I liked a lot of the historical narration as we walked around. I think the only downside of the tour was perhaps adding more variety to the actual food examples. There seemed to be quite a few desserts which were good, but would have liked to learn more about the cheeses, etc. Again, it's a small thing.
the food was not super and it would be best to eat things in a more 'logical' order
Lovely guide, great tour! Not too much walking, and there was plenty of food!
Our guide, Aileen, was great. She took us to the most interesting places and let us taste the best food around. She is also very knowledgeable about food, the history of Amsterdam and the neighbourhood and in general a very fun person. The group was small and didn't feel crowded at all.
Very enjoyable tour, would definitely recommend.
Jelte was an amazing host. It felt like we were walking around the city with a dear friend that we were visiting. He made the time together interesting beyond the food with sharing about the architecture & history of the Jordaan neighborhood. It was clear that Jelte had great relationships with the shop owners and we felt welcomed. He ensured we knew of special requests from the owners so we didn't interfere with their daily customers. I would definitely do another tour with Eating Europe and I would do the Amsterdam one again! We said our goodbyes with big hugs & felt I had a deeper understanding of the culture and the great people of Amsterdam.
Ailyn was fabulous - friendly, knowledgeable, humorous. We loved all the different foods and our teenagers were engaged and enjoyed the walk & tastings - no mean feat! Would highly recommend the tour
