• Kooijman Souvenirs & Clogs Wooden Shoe Workshop - The wooden shoe is a traditional Dutch footwear still worn today. This workshop demonstrates its current production methods and highlights its cultural importance. Visitors can even try on a pair! With a variety of styles, including decorated and hand-carved options, guests can select their favorite and take home a delightful souvenir.
• Specerijenmagazijn Indie’s Welvaren - This spice mill is one of the oldest in the country. Spices from Dutch ships arriving from the Indies in the 1600s were processed here. Upon entering, visitors can still enjoy the aroma of finely ground cinnamon from the wind-powered millstones. The mill continues to process spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg, and many others.
• Catharina Hoeve Cheese Farm - The Dutch are known for their high cheese consumption. At this farm, visitors can sample many of the cheeses enjoyed daily. Henry Willing’s small factory in Zaanse Schans is among the oldest in the nation. Here, guests can learn about the production of traditional Dutch cheese and taste over 30 different varieties, including gouda, lavender, pesto, and many more.

Placed a mere 20 km from Amsterdam is the quaint village of Zaanse Schans.

The trip commences at 9:30 from Amsterdam Central Station and concludes around 1.30pm, marking the return to Amsterdam.
