For the Ultimate Canal Cruise, the luxury boats Stan Huygens and Pure Spirit are primarily used, as described below.
Stan Huygens:
- An iconic canal yacht, once a favorite and regularly chartered by Freddy Heineken
- Accommodates up to 24 guests
- Live commentary provided by your host and captain
- Open bar service managed by your host
- Windows and sunroof can be opened or closed depending on the weather.
Pure Spirit:
- A beautifully restored classic launch
- Accommodates up to 16 guests
- Live commentary provided by your captain
- Self-service open bar – the captain serves the first round, then guests can help themselves
- (Semi) open boat. Depending on the weather, the Pure Spirit will either be open or covered with a modular canopy.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- Minimum drinking age is 18 year
- Please advise any specific dietary requirements at time of booking
- Minimum cruising age is 14+
- This cruise is not suitable for stag parties/bachelorette parties. Please get in touch so we organize a private event.

Great guide! - Misha was a great captain and guide. Very funny, friendly, and fully of energy! Nice drinks and snacks. Very clean boat.

Catered for me being gluten intolerant - Had a wonderful canal cruise with Robert, very relaxed, plenty of drinks. Very plush boat. Robert knowledgeable about Amsterdam, just throw a question and he’ll answer it! Everybody respectful, nobody treating it like a booze cruise. I don’t drink alcohol but not a problem, soft drinks for me. Blankets on board to keep us cosy. But most thoughtful of all is my own individual platter of cheese, crackers etc because I’m gluten intolerant.
Thank you Pure Boats for kick starting our weekend break in style.

Gorgeous Evening Cruise - We did the 7 pm evening tour on the Stan Hguyens and it was an amazing experience. Sitting at the back of the boat, we got the best views as we cruised around Amsterdam for 2 hours. It ended up being a small group that evening, so the tour felt very intimate. The drinks & snacks were delicious and the stories about Amsterdam were great to hear in between sight-seeing. The guides provided great insight to the city and gave some wonderful recommendations on restaurants and activities. While in Amsterdam, we did both a daytime and evening cruise and they were both wonderful experiences, offering different views of Amsterdam. The nighttime one was neat because the bridges are all lit up. The boat itself was gorgeous and it had the added benefit of a toilet on board! Highly recommend this tour & boat.

Brilliant experience – we went twice! - We visited Amsterdam in mid-March and booked the early morning canal cruise online before travelling – really easy to do and the payment process was smooth.
The boat itself was exceptional – spotless, beautifully maintained and genuinely luxurious. The captain was friendly, knowledgeable and made the whole experience really enjoyable without overdoing the commentary.
We enjoyed it so much that we booked again for the Ultimate Canal Cruise in the evening. Completely different atmosphere, a different boat, but exactly the same high standards and attention to detail.
Both trips were highlights of our time in Amsterdam.
Highly recommended – we wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Fun Evening - Everything about this experience was fantastic… The boat was beautiful the Captain lovely and the rest of the crew were friendly, outgoing and knowledgeable… The food and wine were perfect. A great atmosphere and evening!!!

The best small group canal cruise! - The most relaxing cruise available in the canal district. You are never on a boat with more than 16 people and our particular cruise was only three couples including us. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Amsterdam!

Definitely recommend 👌🏻 - Excellent boat tour. Our guide and captain was Robert who was very knowledgeable and friendly. He also answered loads of our off piste questions about the city so it wasn’t scripted. 🤩 The drinks were top notch, great snacks and the boat was clean and comfortable. We went as a couple and there were 6 passengers in total. Quiet and chilled. Definitely recommend 🙌🏻 Thank you.
