Fantastic experience - What a fantastic experience this museum in the old NDSM building with on-site, mainly huge, street art works. Top quality and very imposing. Definitely worth it.

One of the highlights of our Amsterdam trip - Lots of awe inspiring pieces to look at. If you like street art this is a must see. The scale of the pieces and the variety of styles had us saying wow a lot.

Quiet, spacious and inexpensive museum - I loved this museum it is spacious and quiet, the works are filled with colors it feels good to the eyes! It takes 3 hours to enjoy and 1 hour to do it quickly. The works are exhibited in two large halls.
Also, at the reception you can have a small game on paper where you have to find works, if you succeed you win a gift at the end in the souvenir shop.
There is even a stand where you can draw your own graffiti.
Overall it is a good experience 👌

A Vibrant Museum for any Art Lover! - We visited STRAAT as it was included with the IAmsterdam City Card and loved it. It’s a fantastic museum featuring a wide range of street art across multiple floors. The location is easy to reach, just a short walk from the ferry at Amsterdam Central Station. Free lockers are available, and there’s a lovely café on site. A must-see for art lovers.

Unique Museum and worth the trip - A really cool and different museum experience focused on street art. The museum itself was not busy when I visited and was easy to move through at a relaxed pace. I happened to be there the same day as the sailing event that takes place every five years, which created a lot of excitement and energy in the surrounding area. The space is impressive and the artwork is bold and easy to appreciate, even if you’re not deeply into art. Definitely worth the trip if you’re looking for something outside the typical museum experience.

Mecca for graffiti - Those interested in street art and graffiti cannot avoid the STRAAT.
It is also worth exploring the surrounding area on the former shipyard site.

The street museum is really something for lovers of raw art - My next stop was the STRAAT Museum in Amsterdam, an impressive museum in an old warehouse on the NDSM site. Because the museum is located in such a huge warehouse, they can show beautiful graffiti artworks in large format.
The disadvantage of this museum is that the Museumkaart is not valid and the entrance is quite pricey; you pay € 21,- for a ticket. There are discount promotions, for example for students or Amsterdammers with a City Pass. Sometimes there are also promotions through ABN AMRO (the main sponsor), where the second ticket is free.
The works are truly beautiful and the shed itself is impressive. However, keep in mind that it is very hot in summer and quite cold in winter. A hat and gloves are not a luxury inside.
What struck me is that I have not seen a supervising staff member in the entire museum. It was also very quiet today, on a weekday. Please note: the floor in the warehouse is quite uneven. If you have walking difficulties, a visit is not recommended; you can easily fall there. There are signs everywhere warning you to pay close attention to where you walk.
There is a possibility to eat or have a cup of coffee. There is also a shop with nice merchandise, such as STREET hats, scarves, books by famous artists and many T-shirts. Upstairs there is a floor where you have a great view over the entire collection of 150 works of art.
You can easily find the museum: take the ferry from Amsterdam Central Station to the NDSM site. You will immediately see the huge image of Anne Frank on the warehouse where the museum is located. I really enjoyed the art. After an hour and a half to two hours, you've seen most of it. You might wonder if it's worth the high price, but I personally thought it was definitely worth it."

A good discovery - We went to this museum without expecting much, and frankly it was phew. Gigantic canvases all over this old factory really gives a great feeling. For a price that seems frankly reasonable, we are satisfied!

Great art ….. at a price! - Fantastic museum. Really interesting and engaging artwork. Fun getting the ferry from Amsterdam Central and exploring Noord Amsterdam. Some great bars and cafes nearby.
But I’ve marked it down a few points as it is also fantastically expensive. No doubt the overheads may be high and the Netherlands not as cheap as it used to be. However it is €21.50 per adult to get in. I thought street art was supposed to be accessible to the masses, this is more expensive than the Musee d’Orsay, a comparative bargain at €16. no wonder I had the freedom of the place to wander around. If you can afford it I highly recommend it!
