• Nationaal Monument Kamp Vught - Explore the historic site of the former Nazi concentration camp Vught, located in the southern part of the Netherlands. Established in 1942, the camp detained 31,000 Jewish and political prisoners. Visitors can see the remnants of the camp, including watchtowers, barracks, a crematorium, an original train, and a children’s memorial. Additionally, the site includes an execution area in the woods where over 300 resistance members were executed. The camp offers a bookshop, an informative audio tour, and a small cafeteria.
• The John Frost Bridge - John Frostbrug - The John Frost Bridge spans the Rhine in Arnhem and was the final bridge targeted for capture during Operation Market Garden. Securing this bridge would have opened the path to Germany for the Allies. The bridge is prominently featured in the film A Bridge Too Far.
• Airborne Museum at Hartenstein - Visit the Airborne Museum located at Villa Hartenstein. During the Battle of Arnhem in September 1944, part of Operation Market Garden, Hartenstein served as the headquarters for the British Airborne Division amidst intense combat. The bold effort to breach German defenses and seize the Ruhr area to swiftly conclude the war was not successful, as the Arnhem bridge proved to be a bridge too far. Today, Hartenstein houses personal narratives from British, Polish, and German soldiers, as well as civilians, shared through the museum’s distinctive historical artifacts.

Join this small group tour, “In the Footsteps of WW2,” to explore significant historical sites. This tour complements visits to Jewish history locations in Amsterdam and the Anne Frank House.

Participants will explore a former Nazi concentration camp, including its barracks, memorials, and crematorium. Notably, Corrie Ten Boom was held here during the war. From this location, many Jewish children were deported to Poland, and numerous resistance members faced execution.
