Wonderful way to capture the essence of The Netherlands - Booked via Tickets and Tours. A full 7 hour day of seeing fabulous sights - windmills and we paid extra to go inside the windmill and understand how wind power was used in the past. Then we saw clogs being made. Then Volendam and our ticket got us a boat trip which was fabulous. Time in Marken including a demo of cheese making and tasting. Plus tasting stroopwaffles and then a walk around stunning Edam before getting back to Amsterdam. Our 2 reps from Tours and Tickets were amazing managing time and looking after us.

Bea was our guide and... - Bea was our guide and Glenn our driver. It was a little confusing to find the meet spot as there were so many buses and people in the area with one small person holding an umbrella. Actually saw the name on the front bus marquee before the person. However, Bea was a great guide once with lots of information. Glenn maneuvered the coach like a pro.

Great trip - Great trip. Bea, our travel guide, was very informative. I learned so much. We loved seeing the windmills, cheese shops, and clogs being made. Our driver was great too (I don’t remember his name—possibly Glen). So worth it!!

Worth the time to experience a renaissance village - Yes, Zaans is a touristy village, but so charming! We enjoyed seeing how people would have lived hundreds of years ago. The highlight for us was sawmill, which was rebuilt using authentic tools. The guide explained how wood was processed, and the DVD showed the 2-year project to rebuild the windmill. Also worth mentioning are the scrumptious hot chocolate and the wool beanie and gloves that I bought to ward off the chill. Lovely craftsmanship and reasonably priced. Although it rained lightly during the entire visit, we loved the excursion.

An excellent 1/2 day trip. - So glad we booked the I tour. Typically, I shy away from the organized tours but we had limited time in Amsterdam and really wanted to get outside the city. The time was excellent. We left around 8:30 and were back by early afternoon. Being at Zane’s Schnaks early was a great choice as we could walk around unburdened by larger crowds. Volendam was fun. Our guide gave us the best recommendations for lunch right on the water.

Excellent experience for the whole family - This was my favorite experience while on vacation with my family in Amsterdam. Toni was an excellent guide who provided rich information about the towns we visited and the history of Holland. We got to see windmills, Dutch houses, cheese making, clog making, and former fishing villages. We enjoyed a recommended lunch of kibbeling and chips which was delicious. I highly recommend this tour!

A trip worthwhile ! - Petra was a great bus driver and Toni a great and likeable guide. We learned a lot about the country and its people. The stop in Volendam should be longer so that you don't have to snare down lunch and there is still enough time to roam the shops. But that is also the only small criticism. Everything else was really nice and the trip was really worth it. Afterwards we went on a boat trip . There was an audio guide and the captain Alex also told things. This trip took an hour and we didn't regret choosing it. It was a great trip. Informative and varied.
