We also examine the state of prostitution in the 20th and 21st centuries: how and why it became a legal profession, the evolution of the neighborhood, and the current challenges facing Amsterdam’s most notorious area.
• Our Lord in the Attic Museum Ons’ Lieve Heer op Solder - Here, we discuss how (Religious) tolerance was practiced when Catholicism became illegal in the 17th century but was ‘tolerated’ under unique conditions. We draw parallels to how tolerance functions today, in the 21st century.
