Best tour guide - Can’t say enough good things about Steve. So knowledgeable, was very flexible and got us up close to all the art we wanted to see while telling us fascinating stories based on research he had done. My husband and I were beyond thrilled. Highlight of our trip.

Don’t miss and get the private guide! - Steve met us at our hotel. We the proceeded through Amsterdam on foot on our way to the museums learning about the history of buildings, places along the way. Lots of stories! The Rijksmuseum! Wow! The history of the museum is just as interesting as the items inside. As expected, it was very crowded but Steve made sure we got up close at every stop. The Night Watchman was behind a glass barrier as it is undergoing cleaning and trying to solve the mystery of how Rembrandt painted such a large piece. The museum is enormous and beautiful inside and out. A private guide (Steve) is the best way to visit because of all the history, stories and ability to help us move through the crowd. Also, there is so much to see there that you really need more than one day to see everything. Our tour focused on the Golden Age of Dutch art. We left and grabbed some frites and beer at a restaurant on the museum grounds. Very busy and touristy but it is directly between the two museums. The Van Gogh museum was next. I think most people know a couple of things about Van Gogh but Steve told us all about him and his work from beginning to end. I left that museum with a new appreciation for his art because of the stories I heard from Steve. Again, this museum was very crowded but Steve made sure we were able to get close at every stop. Our experience with Steve was so good that we will always have a private guide going forward. You gain so much more from the experience! Thank you, Steve!

Visit - This place is an amazing Museum. Take a guided tour. You'll get a great insight to Van Gogh I promise and it saves a lot of reading allowing you to take in the paintings. A must go see in Amsterdam.

The best of Amsterdam - Steven is a real person with a Dutch heart - he is direct , stunningly simple and extremely knowledgeable . He believes in making the most out of the time spent and deserves every dollar spent with him on the tour . He is one of the best tour guides we’ve had so far in our 40 country visits. When he finished the Van Gogh tour we almost teared up and he got the best out of Van Gogh’s works right in front of our eyes . He is a must take tourist advisor for your visits to Amsterdam in specific and Netherlands in general . My entire family are keen to work with him again on multiple other trips .

Best day in Amsterdam!! - Our best day in Amsterdam!! My young adult kids and I had a fabulous day with Steve!! He was an excellent guide and I highly recommend him! He knew how to read his audience and adjusted the day accordingly. He made history come alive through his story telling and incredible knowledge. He navigated the busy museums with ease and each piece of art we viewed, he set up the next part of the artists life story.

Excellent tour - Loved that Steve was on time. He had a meeting sign which was helpful. We went straight into the museums without waiting in line. Steve took the time to explain about the life of the different artists that we were interested in. The tour of Amsterdam was very informative. He was not only knowledgeable but also personable. We would highly recommend him as a tour guide.

A great tour! - Our guide was a veteran and extremely knowledgeable about the art in the two museums. We skipped the line and saw all of the high points in both museums separated by a lunch break. We had already had a walking tour at the beginning of our week in Amsterdam, so we stayed until closing at the museum, rather than walking in the rain.
