Great, relaxing tour through canals and beautiful homes - The skipper and tour guide on Sunday (9/14) were a great, dynamic duo, even for the last trip of the day! Got to see some amazing homes and learn about the amazing history of Amsterdam. It was a real pleasure to hear their stories and experience their friendly personalities!

Evening cruise Amsterdam with Flagship cruises - Intimate evening cruise for an hour around the canals and onto the Amstel river. Passing under the famous lovers bridge, seeing the houseboats and the smallest house in Amsterdam. Our guide Maya, a uni student, was very knowledgeable and made the tour very engaging. You can pay for all inclusive cheese and drinks when booking or buy on board. The staff, in orange uniforms, are ready to help with questions. Useful as the preinformation told us to be at Anne Frank house when in fact our boat docked at the next canal behind the house. Am orange bike showed the queue point. All in all we recommend this trip

Smooth Sailing with an Amazing Team! - We had such a wonderful experience on this canal cruise in Amsterdam and would highly recommend it! The staff were incredibly attentive and caring, especially as they knew I get motion sickness. They made sure I was seated in the best spot for comfort and checked in on me throughout the trip, which I truly appreciated. It was Laura’s very first day driving the boat and she did an amazing job, smooth and confident. Daria was our commentator and she was excellent, very knowledgeable, personable, and made the tour both informative and fun. Captain Fritz was also on board overseeing everything, and he struck the perfect balance of being professional and approachable. Altogether, the team made us feel very well looked after and created a memorable experience. If you’re looking for a canal tour in Amsterdam, I can’t recommend this company enough!

Wonderful Canal Cruise - Kevin was our guide and he was wonderful. He knew a lot about the area and kept our wine glasses filled. It was easy to find the meeting point and easy to book

Beautiful introduction to the Amsterdam canals! - Beautiful view of the city from the canal at sundown! Tour guide and captain were friendly and pleasant! But we felt that it wasn’t as informative as we would have liked, and the guide had to spend a lot of his time pouring drinks for the guests. It was a nice way to end our first day, but not exactly what we were expecting.

An honest take - The evening canal cruise was experienced on the last night in Amsterdam, with the hope of a relaxing farewell to the city. A last-minute ticket was booked online, and after a slightly confusing search for the correct dock, being on board was a relief. The good: A different kind of magic The city's personality changed completely when the sun set. The canals, normally bustling, became a serene, glittering mirror reflecting the bridges and gabled houses. Each window seemed to tell a story, with glowing lamps illuminating cozy rooms and locals enjoying an evening meal. The guide, a charismatic local named Erik, was the highlight. He provided personal stories and historical information with a witty sense of humor. He pointed out the leaning houses, explained why they looked that way, and shared anecdotes that made the history feel tangible and real. The boat's size was also a huge plus. The boat was spacious, and it felt more intimate and less like a "tourist factory" than the bigger, more crowded boats. The onboard bar had a good selection of drinks, and having a cold beer while gliding through the canals felt like a classic Amsterdam experience. The not-so-good: Expect some turbulence There were a few issues. The wind was brisk that evening, and while the boat was mostly covered, the chill was noticeable. A few passengers near the open sections seemed uncomfortable. This was not enough to ruin the experience, but it's a good idea to dress in layers, even in summer. The biggest issue was the slightly dirty windows on the covered part of the boat. Some photos didn't turn out as sharp as hoped. Some larger boats had open tops, and if seeing the city unobstructed is a priority, a different operator might be a better choice. The commentary could be a little hard to hear over the boat's engine at times. While the guide was great, some jokes were missed when the boat's motor was loudest. The verdict: A must-do with a few caveats Overall, the evening canal cruise is a must-do for any first-time visitor. The chance to see the city's illuminated canals is genuinely magical, and a live, engaging guide makes all the difference. It's a fantastic way to cap off your day and get a different perspective on Amsterdam's beauty.

Nice views - we booked the "Abendliche Grachtenrundfahrt mit (offener) Bar." The tour itself was nice with good views. We had 2 tour guides. A young man who was very polite and friendly and a young lady who was most of the time speaking to her Spanish guests in Spanish. She was asking everyone where they were from at first. Our small group was from Germany and another couple was from Latin America. The lady guide then started a log conversation in Spanish with the couple next to us where she was making condescending comments about Germany as the couple happened to lived in Germany. I guess she assumed we wouldn't understand, however I lived a few years in Spain. I found thy incredibly rude. Also, while she was paying attention to the couple next to us explaining everything in Spanish and refilling their drinks, she didn't quite pay attention to anyone else. Unfortunate. Drinks are expensive when not ordered with the ticket...

Basic 45 min river cruise - Very basic boat tour of canal. “Tour guide” was young man that was not engaging or insightful. The staff tried to sell unlimited drink passes to the passengers on the boat. Overall a very basic experience and not worth the up charge for a live “tour guide.”

Not what we expected - The tour it self was nice but it didn’t live up to expectations of what it was described as in the advertisement. It was unclear which boat we were going on since there was different boats in the pictures. The live guide didn’t tell us so much about where we were going and we didn’t pass the locations described in the advertisement. It also said that it was possible to buy from the bar onboard the boat but that was only possible if you upgraded to limitless of drinks.
