A must try experience. - This is one of the best ways to escape the city for half a day. I almost missed my chance, but they were kind enough to rebook me to 5 Nov 2025. And somehow the stars are all aligned today. From the guide, to the weather, to the mix of participants - everything was perfect. (1) The guide. Our guide for the tour was Pearse. His enthusiasm and deep knowledge of the areas made the tour engaging and made me appreciate the rich heritage and beauty of the country even more. (2) The bicycles. I noticed all the bicycles are well maintained, they even looked new. The shop where the meet up point is is also very clean and spotless. (3) The itinerary. The routes and the pit stops are perfect blend of scenic beauty, local culture and refreshing exploration. (4) The group. There were 8 of us. 2 French, 1 Aussie, 1 Scottish, 2 English, 1 Singaporean and 1 Malaysian (me). Everyone was nice to everyone. (5) Lastly, the weather. We were lucky to have a perfect day to enjoy the ride. ** And yes, this is a highly recommended tour.

The best choice for a Sunday morning - You are out of the city in minutes. Beautiful scenery, nice roads, very good tour guide and delicious apple pie! There are tandem bikes if you are with a small kid as we were.

Best biking in Amsterdam - My husband and I (in our late 50’s) did the We Bike Amsterdam half-day Countryside Bike Tour, and it was honestly one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide, William, was fantastic - super friendly, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable. He set such a comfortable pace and made sure everyone in the group felt included and relaxed right from the start. The route itself is beautiful, peaceful countryside, charming, little villages, and plenty of opportunities to stop and take it all in. William shared great stories about the Maritime history of the area and how the dike / levee system works, which made us appreciate the landscape even more. And the Apple Pie at Het Schoolhuis in Holysloot was the best I’ve ever had! I took an E bike (which I loved) but honestly, the route is so flat. You really don’t need one. It’s an easy enjoyable ride for anyone. If you’re visiting Amsterdam and want to get out of the city for a few hours, this tour is a must! We had such a great time and would absolutely do it again.

Great private tour in the country side with our young kids - We had a phenomenal private tour with this group. Our group was myself, my husband and our 2 kids (10 and 6 years old). We opted for the tandem with the 6 year old and the 10 year old used a youth size bike. The shop made sure that our bikes were well fitting. Gave us a chance to test them out, and off we went. Sumi was our trusty guide and he helped of safely navigate the busy city streets with ease, then provided us with a lovely guided tour of the country side- with wonderful history lessons along the way. We felt like it was our privilege to have him as a guide. This was perhaps our favorite activity during our visit and my kids still talk about Sumi!

Fabulous bike tour - Our family had an amazing bike tour with Sipko. He was knowledgeable, funny and kind. We had a really nice sense of the rural area near Amsterdam and some learning of contemporary Dutch history. We would recommend this trip to anyone who can ride a bike and is in reasonably good shape. Thanks, Sipko!
