• Schoonschip Amsterdam Official - We’ll park our bikes just outside Schoonschip, Amsterdam’s pioneering floating village, and take a leisurely walk through this innovative and eco-conscious community. As we stroll along the tranquil canals, you’ll be amazed by the modern, sustainable houseboats that make up this unique neighborhood. The museum is housed in a stunning 17th-century building that was originally constructed as a warehouse for the storage of materials used by the nearby shipyards during Amsterdam’s Golden Age. Docked next to the museum, is the impressive replica of a VOC (Dutch East India Company) ship, the Amsterdam.
