King Abdullah Mosque - The King Abdullah I Mosque, featuring a striking blue dome, was constructed in the 1980s by the late King Hussein as a tribute to his grandfather. It welcomes visitors of all faiths. The mosque’s nave spans 1,615 m2 and can accommodate 3,000 worshippers. Its octagonal design is notable for the absence of interior pillars. The dome, measuring 35 meters in diameter, rises to a height of 31 meters. At its center, a radiant golden star is surrounded by the Ninety-Nine Most Beautiful Names of Allah. The chandelier, with 168 lanterns, forms three circles, each inscribed with a Quranic verse and the name Allah on every lantern. The red carpet, adorned with intricate patterns, guides worshippers towards the Kiblah. The walls, including the Kiblah, pulpit, and Mihrab, are elegantly paneled with wood and marble oriels.
