Jordan Private Tours and Travel - Hotel pick-up at 8:00 AM. From 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, enjoy a tour of Jerash, followed by a 1:00 PM tour of Ajloun Castle, and then return to Amman. Hotel drop-off in Amman at 5:00 PM.

Amman - Petra: 3-hour drive from Amman

Petra - Head south to the Nabatean Red Rose City of Petra, renowned as one of the world’s wonders. Located 139 miles (225 kilometers) from Amman, this city was carved into stone over 2000 years ago to control the trade routes of ancient Arabia. Explore its towns, dams, and water channels, and enjoy a stroll through the narrow siq, the main entrance to the city. The first sight is the Khazneh, believed to have held countless treasures. Other notable sites include The Monastery and the Altar of Sacrifice. In the afternoon, proceed to Wadi Rum, known as the Valley of the Moon, where “Lawrence of Arabia” and “The Martian” were filmed. Spend the night in a Bedouin camp within the Rum reserve, a serene and tranquil location, enjoying dinner prepared in traditional Bedouin style and evening activities. The camp features tents with beds, blankets, toilets, a dining room, and all essentials for living, including solar-powered electricity.

Day 3: Petra - Wadi Rum and Dead Sea

Wadi Rum Protected Area - After breakfast, take a brief tour of Wadi Rum in a 4x4 Jeep (local Bedouin vehicles). Wadi Rum is a uniquely shaped massive mountain rising from the rosy red desert sands, with towering cliffs in various shades of brown, red, and gold. Next, transfer to the Dead Sea, located over 1300 feet (400 meters) below sea level. The Dead Sea is one of the world’s most remarkable places, known for the Biblical tale of Sodom and Gomorrah’s destruction by fire and brimstone. The Dead Sea is aptly named, as no fish can survive in its waters. It is one of Jordan’s most impressive and breathtaking destinations. Its tranquil, shimmering waters, reflecting the intense sun, are famous for their high salt and mineral content, offering a therapeutic and unique swimming experience not to be missed. Enjoy some leisure time for swimming before returning to your hotel in Amman.
