As the sun began its ascent over the horizon, casting a golden hue across the landscape, my husband and I embarked on a journey to the famed Lempuyang Temple, often referred to as the “Gate of Heaven.” Our guide, Yogi, was a master of timing, ensuring we arrived just as the morning light painted the sky in hues of pink and orange. The temple, perched high above the lush greenery, offered a breathtaking view of Mount Agung, its majestic peak shrouded in mist.

Tranquility at Tirta Gangga and Wapa Di Ume

Our final destination was the Tirta Gangga Water Palace, a serene oasis adorned with vibrant koi ponds and intricate stone carvings. We concluded our day at the Sleeping Gajah restaurant in Wapa Di Ume, where we indulged in a sumptuous brunch overlooking the terraced rice fields and the flowing river. The infinity pool, with its panoramic views of the “sleeping elephant” mountain, provided a perfect retreat, allowing us to unwind and savor the moment. The culinary offerings, a fusion of local and international flavors, were a feast for the senses, each dish crafted with precision and care.
