• Lempuyang Temple - Lempuyang Temple is one of Bali’s oldest and most highly regarded temples, on par with Besakih (aka the ‘mother temple’ of Bali). It is also believed to predate the majority of Hindu temples on the island. Definitely a highlight on any travel itinerary for the fit and adventurous, the main temple lies at 1,175m above sea level, up on the peak of the namesake Mount Lempuyang in East Bali.

We provide an outstanding journey to discover the charm of Eastern Bali, particularly the much-admired photography location, ‘Gate of Heaven’ at the Lempuyang Temple. We initiate the expedition at 08.00 from your hotel, and it will roughly take 2 - 3 hours to reach the Lempuyang Temple (depending on your hotel’s location). We’ll guide you to the renowned picture spot of ‘Gate of Heaven.’ On a clear and pleasant day, you’ll be able to take photos with the magnificent Mount Agung in the backdrop of the gate. Subsequently, we’ll drive to Tirta Gangga, which used to be a Royal Palace of the Karangasem Kingdom. After taking a tour of the palace, we’ll halt for lunch at a local diner. Following that, we’ll head to Taman Ujung, a picturesque park with a large fish pond encapsulating the heritage building of the old Karangasem Empire. Lastly, we’ll drop by Virgin Beach for some relaxation before returning to the hotel.
