- Nikortsminda Cathedral - Constructed between 1010 and 1014 during the reign of Bagrat III of Georgia, Nikortsminda Cathedral was restored in 1534 by King Bagrat III of Imereti. The adjacent three-story bell tower was added in the 19th century. It is on UNESCO’s tentative list for World Heritage Sites. The cathedral showcases the Georgian cross-dome architectural style, with a grand dome and twelve windows adorned with decorative architraves. The interior boasts 17th-century frescoes and intricate ornaments, highlighting the expertise of late-Medieval Georgian ecclesiastical art.

- Tsesi - The Barakoni Church of the Mother of God was constructed in 1753 by architect Avtandil Shulavreli under the commission of the local lord, Rostom of Racha (1750-1769), as noted in the inscription on the eastern façade. Built with finely cut stable stand stones and adorned with elaborate ornamentation, the church was closed during Bolshevik rule and sustained damage in the 1991 earthquake, but was swiftly repaired.
