Educational tasting - The history was clearly told by an experienced guide with passion. Nice to smell and recognize smells (or not🙈) the wine tasting was educational and tasty. Was nice outing.

Wonderful, informative and engaging - Wonderful tour, I learnt so much! Our guide was engaging and clearly loved her job as a sommelier.
At the end of the tour we tasted six wines paired with meat and cheese, and it was amazing to learn so much about how pairings change the taste of wine.
I’m now going to sign up for a full wine course back in the UK as there’s so much to learn!

Excellent family-friendly wine tasting - This tour is very family friendly and was a wonderful way to end our day in Amboise. Our three children each got a lollipop to enjoy during the tour and listened well to the guide (they are age 8-14). The guide was lovely and gave an interesting tour with tons of information specific to the French wine making process and the appellations of wine. We visited during a heat wave and this tour was refreshingly cool in the caves! The tasting was awesome and we enjoyed the food pairings quite a bit. This tour is very well done and we would highly recommend it for families!

A beautiful experience - We had a wonderful experience accompanied by our guide François, who introduced us to the local white and red wines with great generosity and insightful explanations.
For an hour and a half, we toured the cellar built in the 1460s, were introduced to the winemaking process, and concluded our visit with a tasting of 3 white wines and 3 red wines accompanied by cheeses and sausages for perfect pairings.
A truly pleasant and informative moment thanks to our passionate host.
So, do not hesitate, you will have an unforgettable time there.

Amazing……. - We had a lovely private wine tasting experience. We did not do a formal tour but booked a 6 bottle tasting experience with a cheese board. The guide was perfect, the right balance of knowledge and personability. The wines were Devine and the cheese board absolutely next level. We enjoyed a glass of wine on the terrace afterwards with a beautiful view of the Loire. Would highly recommend

Best wine tasting (with food) in Amboise - Good introductory Loire wine tasting with delicious cheeses and cured meats. There's an opportunity to test your sense of smell before the tasting (I failed to guess even one of the scents).
Our host was charming and the staff helpful when it came to placing orders for the UK. The 2017 demi sec is on its way.
Be sure to include lunch afterwards in their outdoor restaurant

Good guide but overall disappointing - We did a wine tasting - 6 wines. The guide was excellent and we enjoyed the aroma part. The wines were ok - nothing to write home about. It was noticeable that nobody bought anything. On previous tours I’ve always bought. The operation seemed set up for tours rather than genuine production of wines.
The kids would have enjoyed having the very small tastes of meat and cheese that the adults got. It was a bit weird to give all the adults this and not the children. We ended up giving them ours.

A horrible experience - The establishment was closing, it was 8:30 PM. We did not know that. People were seated at tables drinking a glass of wine. That made us want some.
I went in, a mustachioed man was facing me. I kindly asked him if we could have a drink. He replied that no, the bar was going to close. I completely understood him and said "no problem, I understand". That was the moment when the situation became absurd! He said to me in a haughty and ironic tone: "are you on vacation?", Yes I replied. " "Well we, we work!", he threw at me. Well yes, like everyone else in France, I thought. After this useless and nauseating remark, we left the premises. Sir, do not forget that it is thanks to us, the tourists, that you work and earn your living. Apparently, you seem to have forgotten that! For my part, I understood the message well and will never set foot in your place again.
For future tourists, I advise you to flee this place where they make fun of you. A word to the wise!
Thierry, visited on July 19 at 8:30 PM sharp, in the middle of the summer season! Maybe he had swindled enough tourists 🤣
