Fantastic day out for me and my dad. - I took my dad alone after buying it as a Christmas gift, we drove 3 of the top class cars each, the guys that were in tge cars with us were fantastic, really chatty and put you at ease driving someone else's car haha. I of course picked the 3 fastest cars, the Austin Healey is by far one of the best cars I've driven in my life fast & loud just the way I like them. The staff are all fantastic and can't do enough for you and then the museum after was a gift to English cars, some excellent examples on display. We drove 1 hour and a half each way and was very happy with our day, would recommend.

Great museum and driving experience - The Great British Car Journey museum is fantastic as long as you are interested in family cars from the 50s, 60s and 70s. Some great cars, well presented. All have a QR code so you can read about the cars in more detail and some have their own story which can be heard on the audio guide. Really well presented. Then you can move on to the Drive your Dad's car section. I chose a black cab, a Rover P4 and a Rover SD1. It is only a taster drive around the industrial estate where the museum based (that was quite clear to me before visiting) but it is simply great to climb into these cars from my youth. The cars were in good condition and the accompanying guide Alan was pleasant and informative. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and thought it was good value.

A very enjoyable day out and experience! - My second visit to the Great British Car Experience, and also Drive Dad’s Car. Last time was for my 50th Birthday, this time for my Dad’s 80th Birthday. The museum is superb - a great selection of cars on show, and many new ones compared with the last visit. Had a nice lunch, which was reasonably priced, then out to drive the cars. Both were in great condition, and the instructor was generous with the number of laps and time out in each car. The photos were good value too. Highly recommended - for anyone interested in British classic cars, this is a great day-out.

A must visit experience - Awesome afternoon in Derbyshire with Drive Dad’s Car. Great combination of driving classic cars and an engaging museum with many eras of British motoring to explore. As well as the cars being the stars, a big call-out to Becky who expertly handled the booking, then to the gentleman on the reception desk at the museum (sorry I didn’t get your name), Tony who accompanied me in the 3-cars I went out in, and Riley who handled the photographs. Will be going back and my 20-year daughter wants to go and drive too!

Fantastic Experience - What a wonderful place - not only a museum on site with a large array of British cars but a place where you can actually drive them. We had an excellent day out and I selected the three car driving experience from the Classic, Premium and Luxury selection and was not disappointed. This gives you access to drive cars ranging from either end of the spectrum, I chose the Triumph Stag, Rover 216 coupe (Tomcat) and the Jaguar XK8 but there are so many others from Rolls Royce's to Maestros! My instructor, Tony B, was great and very knowledgeable on the cars and I never felt hurried during the experiences. The museum isn't one where the classics are 10ft behind a barrier but are all there for you to get as close as you want and to look in through the open windows. Cafe was a great little place and sensibly priced and everywhere was clean. I think we probably spent 3.5 hours on site and although we arrived mid-morning, never felt that there were too many people around at any time. If you’re into great British classic cars there’s certain to be something for your taste. I would certainly recommend this one of a kind experience, it’s sure to be a trip down memory lane if you or your dad owned one of these cars in the past or as for me, the chance to drive cars I've only ever talked about.

Good day out for any car enthusiast. - Good day out, Cafe was well priced and good value for money, the museum was well laid out, had lots of interesting exhibits and nothing was buried away behind barriers so you could have a good look at everything. The driving was fun, the cars were well presented and the instructor was entertaining and knowledgeable.
