Before converting King Trdat III to Christianity, Saint Gregory was imprisoned in a dungeon, over which the Khor Virap monastery church was constructed in the 17th century. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the Biblical Mount Ararat from the monastery.
- Noravank Monastery - Navigating a narrow road flanked by rocky cliffs and numerous caves, one encounters a harmonious blend of architecture and nature. The monastery, adorned with exquisite architectural designs and lavish decorations, is a prime example of 13th-century Armenian architecture. Noravank includes the churches of St. Karapet, St. Gregory The Illuminator, and the two-story St. Astvatsatsin (Holy Mother of God) church, noted for its exceptional construction and sculptural artistry.
- Hin Areni Winery - The Vayots Dzor region, particularly the village of Areni, has been the heart of Armenian winemaking for thousands of years. At the winery, traditional winemaking practices are seamlessly integrated with cutting-edge modern technology. The “Hin Areni” wine factory can process over 250 tonnes of grapes.

The renowned health resort Jermuk is located in the northeastern part of Vayots Dzor. Jermuk’s mineral waters have been celebrated for their healing properties since the early medieval period. A special drinking gallery, featuring pump rooms with mineral water, has been built for visitors. The water temperature ranges from 30 to 50 degrees Celsius.

An Unforgettable Journey to Khor Virap, Areni, and Noravank! - We had another incredible day exploring Armenia with Hyur Service, and once again, our guide Meline and driver Levon exceeded all expectations. This trip to Khor Virap, Areni Cave, and Noravank was a masterclass in Armenian history and beauty.
Meline is truly a standout guide. At Khor Virap, her storytelling about St. Gregory the Illuminator made the history of the site feel incredibly powerful, all while she helped us find the perfect vantage points for photos of Mount Ararat. In the Areni-1 Cave, her knowledge of the world’s oldest shoe and winery was fascinating, and she brought a deep level of detail to the stunning architecture of Noravank Monastery. She has a gift for making complex history feel personal and engaging.
Levon is the best driver we could have asked for. The road to Noravank through the narrow, towering red brick cliffs is one of the most beautiful drives in the world, and Levon’s smooth, professional driving allowed us to just sit back and soak in the views. His car was perfectly clean, and he always ensured we were comfortable and on time.
Meline’s passion and Levon’s expertise make them the ultimate duo for any Armenian adventure. If you are booking with Hyur Service, do yourself a favor and ask for them—they turned a great trip into a series of lifelong memories!

Great and hope it repeats - Hayk Jade, a great guide with high ethics and respect, very patient and quiet, who has good information and explains all the places we've visited.
Driver Lion was very knowledgeable, attentive to the road and caring for the safety of passengers.

Totally worth sights and delicious - Very good experience, nice sightings and historical explanation in Russian in English by our guide Eduardo that was very helpful!! The lunch paid apart was totally worth it and delicious!!

Great trip! Keep in mind it is long (11-12 hours) - We had an amazing time on this tour with our guide Samvel and driver Sasha. They were extremely professional and knowledgeable. You get to see two beautiful monasteries and go taste the natural hot spring water which is a bit off the beaten path.

The absolute most Amazing trip ever. - It was an amazing experience anyone who comes won’t regret. We brought our children and they had a blast. The views are incredible. You can see Mt. Ararat o one of the drives. There are so many great photo opportunities at every destination. The tour guide is Tamara and she is splendid. Our driver was Ara and he is a very safe(and excellent) driver. All the driving short or long was safe with beautiful views. You also get cold water on the drive (which comes in handy). This trip was fantastic. If you want a great tour of Armenian history- this is the tour for you! Hope you come!

Memorable trip - The trip was super convenient, firstly it was quite cheaper than booking something on our own, it had very convenient tours planned out for us to efficiently see all of Armenia without packing too much in a single day and getting us exhausted.
The bus was clean , comfortable, the guide was explaining things from the get go both in english and Russian , and really helped us understand the stories of Yerevan and Armenia and the regions we were about to visit.
The guide was really good and informative, he really managed a good pace, and kept things very interesting.
They even stopped us for lunch and gave us really good (paid) lunch options. We being vegetarians had decent veg options on the table.
The trip was really good , we made some really good friends, learnt a lot about the history and places of Armenia and really had a good time. Would 100% recommend to whoever wants to visit

Views , and fun! - We enjoyed our trip very much. Our kids had so much fun! Tamara and ara are amazing. There are so many wonderful views.Its all amazing. You should definitely try this sometime.
