No prior experience is necessary to operate a snowmobile. All that’s required is a standard driver’s license, making it both easy and enjoyable. Before embarking on the journey, a comprehensive safety briefing and driving instructions will be provided. Participants will ride in pairs, with a driver and a passenger on each snowmobile, and there will be opportunities to switch roles during the excursion. The adventure takes you into the secluded mountain plateau of Finnmarksvidda, one of Europe’s final untouched wilderness areas. The route follows the historic postal path to the highest point of the plains. Temperatures on the plateau can range from slightly above freezing to well below zero. While calm days and clear skies cannot be guaranteed, the plateau’s natural beauty remains stunning and awe-inspiring regardless of the weather. Enjoy hot beverages and a snack or cake to add a cozy element to the outdoor adventure.

Here you get to admire the pure arctic wilderness, enveloped only by snow and the endless sky.
During the journey, you will gain insight into our heritage and the arctic way of life, along with savouring Finnmarks local delicacies through homemade snacks.
Our licensed guide will teach you how to operate the snowmobile and ensure you have an unforgettable experience.
- Only the holders of a valid B class drivers license are allowed to drive a snowmobile in Norway. You are required to present your license for verification before taking part on the ride. Guests without a valid driving license are only allowed to be passengers.
- You will share a snowmobile with another passenger, so each of you will get to drive half of the trip.
