Almyrida - PADI Discover Scuba Diving program is a three hours program for people who have the utmost curiosity to find out what it feels like to breathe underwater.
This experience includes a short theory lesson of about 30 minutes on the basic diving equipment and skills and an actual 45 minutes dive of a maximum depth of around 8 meters.Â
You will constantly be under the direct supervision of our PADI instructors while safety is ensured with a ratio of one instructor for every two guests.
During your time with us, we also take photos and short videos with our underwater camera which we send to your mail for free right after your dive!

Discover Scuba Diving is, unsurprisingly, our top-rated experience. It’s precisely crafted for those who are incredibly intrigued by scuba diving and desire to explore it in a secure and welcoming ambiance. The duration of the course is around 3 hours, starting with a 25 minutes theoretical session followed by a 45 minutes scuba diving experience up to a depth of 8 meters.
This course also accommodates children aged 8-10 years, where the dive is limited to 2 meters.
Fully monitored by our PADI certified instructors, this activity guarantees utmost enjoyment and safety. The instructor to student ratio stands at one for every two adults and one for each child.

- Diving within 12 hours of flying is not allowed. All participants will be required to complete a health questionnaire prior to diving. Some pre-existing medical conditions (for example asthma, heart conditions, etc.) may prevent you from diving, please consult your doctor if needed.

Great first time... - Great first time experience for a family with teens. The instructors were incredibly patient with my surley teenagers and did a great job showing us the ropes. I was super nervous and panicked a bit at the start of the dive so I forgot some of the steps. They were so kind and patient in helping me get settled so that I could relax and enjoy the dive. We saw an octopus and lots of other sea life and it was a great trip for the family. Thanks! I'd do it again

Safe, affordable, attentive crew. What a memory! - This was an amazing dive. I am a certified scuba diver and they were very thorough, thoughtful and caring. Everything is include, literally. Nothing is needed beside you, a bathing suit and an adventure ready attitude. I felt very safe, the water was chilly but you warm.up. my guide was personally with just me the entire time, guiding me and showing me cool things along the ocean floor. He never left not once. My friend had her own guide that did the same. They dont push you to go farther than you are comfortable with. They are very reassuring and considerate, allowing you to take time to calm yourself since it can be scary at first. They emailed us all our photos and videos at no extra cost which was so special.
I would recommend this excursion to anyone. Very very safe. Can't stress that enough. Two young girls (22+) traveling alone went, had fun and came back with memories.
We were aboard a Royal Caribbean ship and they picked us up right outside the ship, 2+ minute walk and dropped us back off in plenty of time.
There also is a sweetest shop across the street from the dive center, so you can get souvenirs from crete as well.

Fun family diving - I'd like to thank everyone involved here at the center for helping us and our kids to discover what diving is about. Truly this was a quite unique experience that I can highly recommend for families that want to do something a bit different while on vacation. The instructors were really patient and helpful with the kids (12 and 10) enabling them to get their first experience of what diving is. Thank you!

Fabulous experience - We were put at ease on arrival. Brenna and Kyle were absolutely wonderful. They understood our fears and made certain we were comfortable with the equipment before entering the water.
The fish, sea urchins, starfish were so beautiful up close.
Would definitely do this again!

Enjoyed my "Discover Diving" experience! - I went with Ed on a one-on-one "discover diving" tour and had a great time. I was super nervous about diving, as I had only had one other experience with it previously (in open water), but he was so patient and made me feel super comfortable, and I ended up going down 11 meters!! We saw a lionfish and it was so cool seeing the cavernous rocks around me - something I'd always dreamed of being able to do. Thank you Ed!!

Scuba Diving DSD taster. It was amazing after being encouraged by my husband! - After waiting so long to make up my mind these super experienced divers just did as I was comfortable and before I knew it I was 6 metres in and without panic
I can’t recommend enough this company with their safety knowledge before hand. We really enjoyed the amazing morning.

Beginner-Friendly & Unforgettable – Amazing Experience - We visited it on Saturday 19th of july(7 people), for our very first scuba diving experience and it was an incredible experience
We went there as beginners, but the team made us feel safe and comfortable
They explained everything in simple steps, were super patient and friendly, and stayed right by our side during the whole dive.
The equipment was in great condition, the diving location was stunning, and overall it was a smooth and unforgettable experience.
Whether you're a first-timer or just looking for a laid-back, professional team
this is 100% the place to go.

Best experience on Crete! - One of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had! I was a first timer but the thorough instructions and explanations, the practices on land and in the waters given made me feel at ease in an instant. Every single instructor and worker was fantastic, these guys deserve all the praise in the world! All of them are such amazing professionals I easily trusted them in a heartbeat. Whenever I come back to Crete I will most definitely pick them again no question asked!
Special shoutout to B, she gave us the briefing and she was hilarious which made me even more comfortable with everything!

Great open water dive! - I came through Crete on a cruise ship and had a small window of time toget a dive inI am a inactive PADI and SDI instructor and a dove all over the world. I had a great open water dive with these guys. Everyone at the shop was very friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend omega Scuba!
