The journey continues by cable car to Shymbulak, the largest ski resort in Central Asia.
- Kok-Tobe Hill - Kok-Tobe offers a stunning view of Almaty from 1130 meters above sea level. The park features playgrounds with slides and swings, a fountain of desires for making wishes, a mini zoo, and a statue of The Beatles. After visiting Kok-Tobe, there will be a stop at a Kazakh national restaurant to enjoy traditional cuisine.
- Park Named After Panfilov’s 28 Guardsmen - This park honors Panfilov’s heroes who sacrificed their lives defending Moscow from the German invasion during World War II. It includes the Memorial of Glory, dedicated to the soldiers, and the Monument of Soldiers from 15 Soviet Union countries.
- Ascension Cathedral - This is a historical and cultural monument in Almaty. The church is a unique architectural structure, built between 1903 and 1907 entirely of wood without the use of nails.
- Zeleny Bazar - This local market offers souvenirs, clothing, and local food and delicacies. Please note that all markets are closed on Mondays.
- Rakhat Candy Factory - A visit to the Rakhat candy factory’s brand shop allows for the purchase of local chocolates, biscuits, and more for family and friends.

Best tour guide Assel for Almaty visit - One of the most enjoyable trips I had in my life , Assel was my tour guide and she managed to plan everything in a very short notice … with high knowledge of the history and excellent English accent and she is a nice photographer as well so despite I was solo she gave me very excellent photos and enjoyed it as if I am with a friend … also the car was very clean and driver was nice and drive well thanks to you all and hope to see you again … Rakhmet

Amazing adventure - Our guide Asel was incredibly good. She ensured that we had a good time, held great conversation for the entire day and really went the extra mile to help us. I highly recommend her as a guide if you’re English or Russian speaking (or a mixed group like we were!). One word of caution - for the ski lift, especially in November - spend the extra money and rent blankets. I’m not sure my toes would’ve made it without that 😀

Wonderful guide for a very interesting tour - Our guide Alina was wonderful.
She introduced us to the history and the very beautiful and rich Kazakh culture with passion along a most interesting and varied circuit.
We were able to exchange in the best way and enrich each other.
Excellent lunch of traditional Kazakh dishes.
Not forgetting our driver, calm in the driving

An Unforgettable Journey Through Almaty - This was a fantastic tour especially when you have someone like Alina guide you through the places. She knows the Kazhak tradition and history the best and I would highly recommend this one with Alina the first day like we did. The best part was that it was comfortable and she made sure we were there at the Shymbulak early before the crowd started and we returned back when it was just about time. Had a fantastic lunch at a boutique restaurant in Kak Tobe. The icing on the cake was the green bazaar and the kazhak chocolate shop which featured authentic kazhak stuff. What we liked about Alina was she made sure explained all the stuff, negotiated with the vendors in Russian and was never pushy to buy anything. Add this in the review please. They are a bit expensive but worth every penny.

Lovely day in Almaty - Had a lovely day in Almaty with Assel! Saw the beautiful sites of the city and Assel knew all of the best spots for photos and souvenirs. Would highly recommend.

Get to Know Almaty - Great day! I saw many interesting places in Almaty. Alina is a great guide. Her English is excellent. She provided a lot of interesting information about the various places. This is a very good full day tour. Ii higgly recommend this tour

Wonderful day trip in Almaty - Great to see glacier in Shymbulak. Kok Tobe is a very nice place to visit. Lunch in Navat is good. Our guide, Alina, is also wonderful and helpful.
