From there, we traverse nature’s pathways, making our way to the other side to reach Pedralva. Once a nearly forsaken ghost town, Pedralva has been revitalized in recent years and now stands as a beacon of ecotourism, nestled amidst breathtaking natural beauty. Our return trip to Carrapateira will take us through the serene Vilarinha valley and an expansive forest, offering a tranquil and rustic atmosphere that’s sure to captivate, all while inhaling the freshest of air.
