Soaring High: A Family Adventure Parasailing in Alicante

When I discovered the unique blend of flying and sailing offered by parasailing in Alicante, I knew it was a must-try for my family. Join me as I share our unforgettable adventure soaring above the city.

Setting Sail in Alicante

As a travel writer and a mother of three, I’m always on the lookout for activities that can entertain and educate my children while providing a unique experience for the whole family. When I heard about Parasailing in Alicante and its promise of combining the thrill of flying with the beauty of sailing, I knew it was something we had to try.

Our adventure began at the Marina Deportiva of the Port of Alicante, where we were greeted by a friendly and multilingual team. The staff, including the wonderful Sara, made us feel at ease right from the start. They were meticulous in following Covid-19 safety measures, which was reassuring for a mom like me. Masks were worn by all staff, and hydroalcoholic gel was readily available. It was clear that safety was their top priority, and I felt confident that my family was in good hands.

As we set off on the boat, the excitement in the air was palpable. The music played softly in the background, and the gentle breeze carried the scent of the sea. My children were thrilled, their eyes wide with anticipation as we sailed along the coast of Alicante.

Soaring Above the City

The moment we had all been waiting for arrived as we prepared to take flight. Up to five people can fly together, and my children and I were eager to experience the sensation of soaring 150 meters above the city.

The ascent was smooth, and soon we were gliding through the air, taking in the breathtaking views of Alicante below. The city looked like a miniature model from our vantage point, and the sparkling Mediterranean stretched out as far as the eye could see. It was a moment of pure magic, one that I knew my children would remember for years to come.

The instructor remained on the boat, guiding us with expertise and ensuring our safety throughout the flight. We felt secure and free, a perfect combination for a family adventure. The 15 minutes in the air seemed to pass in the blink of an eye, but the memories we made will last a lifetime.

Capturing the Memories

One of the highlights of our parasailing experience was the option to record our adventure with a GoPro. As a mom who loves to document our travels, this was a fantastic way to capture the joy and excitement of the day.

The staff provided us with the equipment, and we were able to film our flight from start to finish. Watching the video later, we laughed and reminisced about the incredible views and the feeling of flying. It was a wonderful keepsake that we’ll cherish forever.

As we returned to the marina, I couldn’t help but reflect on what an unforgettable experience it had been. The professionalism of the team, the stunning views, and the shared joy with my children made it one of the best adventures we’ve had. If you’re looking for a family-friendly activity that combines excitement with a touch of magic, Parasailing in Alicante is a must-try.
