• Via Giuseppe Garibaldi, 49 - If you are a sea lover don’t let the less warm temperature stop your curiosity! For three hours, we search for dolphins. Thanks to the presence of the researcher of MareTerra NGO, our chance of spotting dolphins is 80%.

During the navigation, a briefing will be provided to let you know more about the biology and behaviour of dolphins, along with their conservation status. We are certified with the High Quality Whale Watching certification. Once we sighted a group of dolphins, we respect their well-being approaching them in accordance with the “good code of conduct” of our certification to minimise the risk of any disturbance to dolphins.
Thanks to the photo-identification technique, we can recognise dolphins by their dorsal fins and we are able to tell you their names, how old they are and their health status. In addition, you will listen to the dolphin sounds thanks to the recordings that the scientists of MareTerra NGO collected to study the bioacoustic of the dolphins.

During the navigation, you will admire one of the most beautiful coasts of Sardinia, within the boundaries of the Marine Protected Area Capo Caccia - Isola Piana.

Spend a day as a researcher with the scientists of MareTerra NGO and satisfy all your curiosities about dolphins. Watch as researchers gather scientific data to study the bottlenose dolphin population in the Gulf of Alghero. Learn about some of the most famous dolphins like Suzeo, Taz, and Shark Junior.

During snorkeling, a guide will lead you to explore underwater life. Onboard, we’ll share interesting facts about what we’ve seen. You’ll never be alone!

Our excursions are guided by the principles of ecotourism and sustainability:

• HQWW certification (High Quality Whale Watching) for operators who follow the Code of Good Conduct, aimed at minimizing disturbances to cetaceans.

• This tour is suitable for kids from 5 years old.
• Suitable sea conditions and a minimum number of people are required for this experience. In case of cancellation, you will be able to choose another date if available or a full refund. Other causes that may occasionally lead to cancellation of the tour are mechanical failures, health problems and requests for monitoring intervention for the protection of cetaceans that cannot be postponed and conflict with the date of the tour.
• The guides reserve the right to end the excursion early if it is not possible to guarantee the safety of the people on board or to respect the established program due to weather and sea conditions. The cost of the ticket could be reduced in case of early termination of the excursion.

  Activities that take place in the natural environment inevitably involve risks. To minimise this risk, the staff is adequately trained, and our boats and equipment are subject to routine maintenance or extraordinary maintenance when necessary. However, by booking and participating in our excursions, the Participant(s):

1. Declares under their responsibility to be in a good state of health and to exempt MareTerra Group SNC from any civil and criminal liability related to and consequent to the ascertainment of this condition;
2. Undertakes to behave following the principles of legality and respect for the principles of civilisation on the occasion of the excursion and not, in any case, engage in behaviour contrary to the law and civil rules that may put danger to one’s own or others’ safety;
3. Relieves MareTera Group SNC from any liability, direct and indirect, for any material and non-material damage, theft and/or damage to any personal object and/or expenses (including legal fees), which may arise following participation in the excursion, also as a consequence of one’s or others’ behaviour;
4. Finally, by accepting the terms and conditions, the Participant(s) assumes all responsibility that may derive from participation in the excursion and relieves the MareTerra Group SNC of any civil and criminal liability, even objective, as a consequence of accidents caused to himself or third parties and illnesses that occurred during the entire duration of the excursion, including transfers by any means to and from the excursion site;
5. Under and for art. 1341 and 1342 of the Italian Civil Code, the Participant(s) declare to have carefully examined all the clauses listed above and to specifically approve them by booking our tour.
