• Alexandria Farmers Market (Old Town Farmer’s Market) - Explore where Washington brought his goods from Mount Vernon to America’s oldest farmer’s market! This is an outdoor venue, so we will remain outside.
• Carlyle House - Learn about George Washington’s involvement in the renowned Braddock Campaign! We will discuss Washington’s early military career. Please note, we will not enter the Carlyle House.
• Gadsby’s Tavern Museum - Discover where George Washington celebrated his birthday right here in Alexandria at the famous Gadsby’s Tavern. We will not be entering Gadsby’s Tavern.
• Alexandria’s Christ Church - Washington worshipped here! Depending on the sermon, he might have even taken a nap… We may have the opportunity to enter Christ Church from Wednesday to Sunday if it is open. It is closed on Monday and Tuesday.

The tour includes visits to historic sites such as:

• Wise’s Tavern
• Duvall’s Tavern
• George Washington’s Townhomes (both of them!)
• The Fairfax House
• Dr. Craik’s Home
• Henry “Light Horse Harry” Lee Home

Participants will walk to each location, although entry into the buildings is not included.
