Exploring history is both enjoyable and thrilling, especially in a city as historic as Alexandria! This specially curated tour for young people will take participants to significant sites around downtown, highlighting the importance of studying history.

Designed for children aged 6-12, the tour will sensitively address some of the more challenging aspects of Alexandria’s past. Guided by a local historian and former K-12 teacher, both adults and children will delight in the captivating stories and anecdotes shared! Participants are encouraged to ask questions throughout the tour.

While the recommended age for young attendees is 6-12, children of other ages are also welcome to participate.
