Egyptian history at its best - I can recommend an Alexandria city tour with Mirettes Tour Co., Mahmoud tour guide and driver, Linny. Mahmoud's English was very good. Our driver Linny was expert at getting us around the city, dropping us close to our stop, and returning to pick us up. We went to 4 historic spots and a divine lunch location. The catacombs, the Citadel, Bibliothecha Alexandria, & Roman Amphitheater. All stops were explained in advance to us while driving to each one. Mahmoud is a tall long legged fellow who didn't mind stopping for us to catch up with him. At times asking us to take his arm for safety crossing streets. He was always upbeat and so proud of his city and country. Everywhere we went other tour guides were calling out hellos to him, an obviously well liked individual. He and Linny pleased that we were always just about one hour ahead of the rest of the tourists. He ordered our lunch ahead for us. He stayed with us until we were seated, and he had checked our lunch order status, then he left us to it. Every stop, he made sure to point out the toilet facilities which was appreciated. We had no complaints with our tour. Mahmoud made for an exciting visit.

Grand tour of Alexandria! - Our guide, Kerolus, was on time, well prepared, and along with our driver, gave us a fabulous tour of Alexandria. We were to select 4 of the 8 options they offered and chose the Biblioteca Alexandria (amazing library!), the Royal Jewelry Museum, the Catacombs, and the Citadel. An admission ticket was required for each of these venues, but was included in our fee, so Kerolus paid for the admission to each of these places. The drive was fascinating, with the narrow, crowded streets, people walking everywhere, and we saw parts of Alexandria not typically seen by tourists (where the locals shop and eat). The experience was to be 4-6 hours, and we used all 6 hours well. During the drive, the guide provided historical and cultural information about Alexandria. He was also a history teacher/tutor for middle school students during the hot, summer months with few tourists. We enjoyed conversing with Kerolus about his life and our driver became a grandfather that day for the first time. A great day for all of us!

Amazing Alexandria - We loved the tour around the sights of Alexandria. We had plenty of time at each of the sites we visited for the guided tour, and free time to explore and take photos. Mohammed Ramadan, our guide was amazing. He was very friendly, and easy to talk to. He was a wealth of knowledge on each of the sites, he also shared stories of many sites and building around the city that weren’t part of our itinerary. Our driver Ahmed was also fantastic. He kept us safe, and there was zero waiting around for him. He was always right where he needed to be. 10/10 tour! I highly recommend this if you have some time in Alexandria.

Memorable Experience in Alexandria, Egypt - Maha picked us up at the cruise port. She was waiting for us with a sign of our names holding up by end of a short walking bridge. Our six-hour private tour was in a medium sized sedan with driver Tarek. It was a pleasant experience to tour four sites of our choosing and two additional stops for take photos. Maha gave us full narrative of all sites visited. She offered but did not pressure us to any shopping. Tarek went out of his way to stop at Stanley bridge for photo. Thank you both for the memorable experience in Alexandria.

Excellent tour - Transportation less so - Quite a walk from the ship to the meeting place… others on private tours were picked up at the ship. Day was hot! Vehicle was old, small and cramped… we were three adults plus guide and driver. The tour was flexible enough that we were able to spend as much or as little time as we wanted at each site. We used about half the time slotted which was perfect for us. The guide was very personable, knowledgeable and accommodating. The driver was very good, friendly and helpful at each site. Would recommend them definitely but must say the vehicle was not want we expected and a negative as was the pick up location.
