Dolphins, hallelujah Dolphins - I enjoyed it so much I went twice. I used Algar Experience company, mainly as the hotel i stayed recommended them, i'm sure tgey have a discount or something, anyway as I have to use walking aids i wanted the hotel to find or recommend a boat trip suitable for those with mobility issues, and wow did i get the experience I was hoping for. I love dolphins, that was my main reason for booking, of course no guarantee as they are wild and possibly unpredictable. My first trip was closer to the coastline, roughly 1 hour into the trip we were blessed with an amazing visit with a family pod including a baby, it was truly amazing. Pod of 8 in total, and very as curious with us as we were with them, mum and baby did stay a little further away from our group, but it's as though mum was telling them to perform for the silky tourists. I was overwhelmed and quite frankly buzzing for the rest of the day, so much that I booked again. The crew were tremendous, gave the passengers a great experience, laughs, songs and provided a lot of knowledge of the area. The next trip was with the same company but one of their other boats, this one took you further out into Atlantic, we seemed to be travelling for a while, every tip of a wave i thought was dolphin, but no. Sadly just as I thought this trip would not provide what I craved, we came across another group, an older group a different group. These were adults but very playful, they swan at the now of the boat, surfing the waves, they flipped their tales, only thing they didn't do was leap out of the water. But I caught on camera plenty of lucky shots. The trips were €29 for 1 adult. They did advertise if you didn't see a dolphins you'd get a refund, that's only if 2 or more in the group, solo travellers no refund, but they have the latest technology, have excellent spotters and keep track of sitings in the area,so I'd probably say the odds are in your favour so see dolphins.

Lovely way to spend your morning - What a lovely experience and would highly recommend! The staff on the catamaran were friendly and knowledgeable. I went at 10am and we saw dolphins soon after we left the marina. Stayed there for a good while and then went fast along the coast to the caves and then slowly back. Fantastic caves and commentary from the staff, mentioning points of interest along the way. This isn’t a big catamaran, and the pre booking said to take a jacket. There was a bit of spray at times but nothing much. We were fortunate the sea was calm. A great way to spend the morning and finished with lunch in the marina.

Excellent trip out to sea - Staff were helpful and shared their knowledge of the area and marine life, my daughter and I throughly enjoyed the dolphin watching and viewing the coastline and caves up close. Good size of boat, limited amount of people onboard. Overall, excellent trip from start to finish, would highly recommend using this tour group.

september boat trip - Super trip on a sunny September afternoon - excellent commentary from on board staff - only downside was provisio at the start of the trip that no food and drinks were permitted even though no food or drink was sold on board, am assuming this excluded water consumption on a hot afternoon but no clarity was provided - apart from that would fully recommend

Saw the dolphins but the music!!!! - We booked this for a group of friends. First the positives. The staff were friendly and professional. Didn't tell us much about the caves but had a fact for each which was fine. We saw a pod of dolphins which was lovely. The bad was that the music was so loud! I couldn't hear myself think and it wasn't at all in line with a nice relaxing experience. Far too loud and a very odd choice of music. I would recommend that you take a jacket or coat as we were FREEZING sitting towards the rear of the boat and got splashed a lot! Overall I think there are probably better options for a boat trip.

Good trip but watch out for boat/time being changed at last minute - The trip itself was good, we did see dolphins and the guy doing the commentary was very good. However this operator algar experience, lie about their boats having engine trouble and bump customers onto other boats or cancel them of the boat they are due to be in does not have a certain number of people booked. While I get this from a commercial aspect it’s highly inconvenient for customers especially if it’s your last day here. We were moved from the 10am boat to the 11am boat only when we turned up at 9.30. We’d specifically chosen the first boat Sea Mystic for its higher profile to be blue to see. We were staying by the marina and funnily enough Sea Mystic sailed out for its 3.30 sailing.
