Great tour and good value - My sisters and I enjoyed the tour at both locations. There were plenty of times to enjoy at each cities. Highly recommend group tour for Matera on foot. My sisters and I would not able to do it on our own

Great way to see two UNESCO sites in a day. - Fantastic trip. The guides were both excellent! They clearly know and love their towns and we couldn’t help but love them as well. We were mainly interested in Alberobello, didn’t know anything about Matera. But OMG what an incredible town! Well organised, ran on schedule, comfortable coaches. Would recommend paying extra for the guided tours.

Fantastic trip, but tour guide was not... - Overall, this day trip was very well organized. We found the bus at the meeting place easily and checked in .The bus was new, clean and comfortable and they had water for sale, if you didn't bring your own. We chose the guided tour on Matera only so we had 3 hours to explore Alberobello on our own. The tour company provided a brochure with QR codes for a walking tour and/or digital audio guide. Alberobello is fascinating but has become touristy. Still worth it! When we arrived in Matera, there were two guides, 1 for English only and the other English and Spanish, to whomever we were assigned. Unfortunately our guide Pasquale didn't speak English well and everything took twice as long due to double translation. The tour took up almost the entire time in Matera when we were promised an hour of free time. He also ordered us around like we were school children. Matera was incredible but our guide made this a 4 out of 5.

Day out - Lovely places to visit but It’s too long in each place. Could do with 1.5 to 2 hours each. Also having a guide on bus talking about interesting facts would make it more enjoyable

Do not spend the money on... - Do not spend the money on the guided tour. Take the walking tour instead. The guided tour was very disappointing and felt like a waste of money—especially because we mostly learned about family history rather than the town we were actually visiting. Both guided tours felt that way. The bus driver was very nice, and the buses were clean.
