Great day trip! Just check the pickup time before. - This was a great all inclusive day tour, breakfast buffet and lunch also included. I traveled solo and was a great option, I always felt safe. I visited 3 different attractions, unfortunately I couldn’t see much of the volcano area because of the bad weather, it rained all day long! Also the information tour says that the tour begins at 6:30am but that’s NOT CORRECT, depending of the pick up area, you have to be ready even before 6am! So check the pickup time before.

Coffee, volcanos and waterfalls - A fantastic day. Around 12 hours overall and well worth the money. Great organisation made everything really easy. The pick up from the hotel was on time and first stop was the coffee farm. Commentary en route was great from our guide, and made the drive fly by. The farm was beautiful and insightful and breakfast was a good plate. On to the Poas volcano. The weather was cloudy so our guide took us for a trail walk to allow time for the cloud to lift. The result was well worth the wait! Breath taking! A short drive to La Paz and our guide led us around the animal enclosures before lunch. Again, all well organised with reserved pre paid food. The day finished with the trail around the waterfalls. Overall I would highly recommend. The content showcases some of Costa Rica’s most beautiful areas. The team in the day (Gary and Nancy the guides, Rodrigo the driver) were fantastic!

Doka Plantation and La Paz Waterfall Gardens were a very interesting tour - Rained all day, unable to go to Poas volcano due to current seismic activity on the mountain, but still felt the trip was worth it. Our guide was Martin who was very knowledgeable and did his best to keep our spirits up despite the rain. Really enjoyed the trip to the Doka coffee plantation and learned many new facts about coffee. The La Paz wildlife park and the walk beside the 5 waterfalls was amazing and beautiful, despite the constant rain. Disappointed we couldn't visit the volcano, however, Summer Travel had informed us the day before of the situation, which was out of their control. Overall, felt the tour was worth the cost.

Excellent highlights of St Jose area - Fantastic tour, best highlights of St Jose area. Good communication via whatsapp and, what was important for us, had hotel pick up/drop off no matter where you are staying (saves a hassle of finding uber to pick up point at 6am). Pick up was timely, tour van had an aircon (but not overly cold), after about 1-1,5h of driving (inc.all pick ups) had nice breakfast then an informative tour about coffee production. Another short ride to the vulcano - very active, so no lake in the crater but still a really good view. Last stop was La Paz animal sanctuary - seen all frogs, snakes, butterflies, sloth and big cats (they could really use bigger enclosures though), had great buffet lunch and ended a tour with a walk to a majestic La Paz waterfall. Guide was knowledgeable and helpful, itinerary excellent and did not find any part of the tour tiring or boring.

Best tour!! - Hands down one of the best tours I have ever been on. Lenny was amazing in every way possible. Incredibly knowledgeable, thoughtful, friendly, and professional, and also an incredible driver at that. The locations for the tour are truly the best ones (Doka Coffee and La Paz). Feels like you can cross off a good amount of “must dos” in one day. Can’t recommend it enough.

Can’t go wrong with this tour. - Awesome tour. If you’re lucky to get Erick as your tour guide you have hit gold. He is very attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. He genuinely wants you to have a good tour. The food was good and not the standard Costa Rican buffet. The sites were interesting and had plenty of time to explore.

Too much, too long - The trip took 12 hours not the 9 advertised, which meant we had to cancel dinner reservations. It was also more strenuous than we anticipated, particularly LaPaz waterfalls after animal sanctuary.

Could Have Been Great - Overall it was an almost great tour. I took a star off for two stops that I don’t think were listed as part of the day. We spent some time at a “zoo” that was just sad and detracted from the overall experience. The guide tried to sell it as not a zoo or a sanctuary but it definitely was. Also stopped at a place to buy “locally grown” strawberries but the strawberries were not good and it felt like a cash grab. Without those two stops the day would have been perfection!

Tourism - Group of nearly 20 people and visit the coffee farm then shop to buy products, then visit the volcano but under the clouds, so invisible and nothing seen, then the center with animals and lunch. All are caged and it is a small zoo, to finish with the waterfall, pretty without more and obviously souvenir shop to finish. Commercial experience
