- Gizeh Plateau - Begin your full-day tour with a pickup from Cairo International Airport anytime between 7:00 am and 11:00 am. The Giza pyramid complex features the Great Pyramid (also known as the Pyramid of Cheops or Khufu, built around 2580 – 2560 BCE), the slightly smaller Pyramid of Khafre (or Chephren) located a few hundred meters to the southwest, and the more modest Pyramid of Menkaure (or Mykerinos) situated further southwest. The Great Sphinx is positioned on the eastern side of the complex. Egyptologists generally agree that the Great Sphinx’s head represents Khafre. In addition to these major structures, there are smaller satellite pyramids, known as “queens” pyramids, along with causeways and valley pyramids.
- Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - Khufu’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, currently buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman. Although diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been discovered, the site remains unexcavated.
- Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex comprises a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple revealed several statues of Khafre, some of which were found in a well in the temple’s floor by Mariette in 1860.
- Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple.
- Great Sphinx - The Great Sphinx of Giza, often called the Sphinx of Giza or simply the Sphinx, is a limestone statue of a reclining sphinx, a mythical creature. It faces directly from west to east and is located on the Giza Plateau on the west bank of the Nile in Giza, Egypt. The Sphinx’s face is believed to represent Pharaoh Khafre.

- Islamic Cairo - Visit the Citadel of Salah El Din in Cairo, where you can explore the Mohamed Ali Mosque, considered one of the most beautiful mosques in Cairo. It is also known as the Alabaster Mosque due to its outer walls being covered in alabaster stone.
Next, visit the renowned Al-Rifa’i Mosque, located opposite the Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Hassan, which dates back to around 1361. This mosque was designed to complement the older structure as part of a 19th-century campaign by Egypt’s rulers to associate themselves with the perceived glory of earlier Islamic periods and modernize the city.
Continue to the largest mosque in Cairo, the El Sultan Hassan Mosque, also known as Madrasa El Sultan Hassan, founded by Sultan Hassan in 1356 A.D. The Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Hassan is a massive Mamluk-era mosque and madrassa near The Citadel in Cairo.
- Mosque of Muhammad Ali - The Great Mosque of Muhammad Ali Pasha, or Alabaster Mosque (Arabic: مسجد محمد علي; Turkish: Mehmet Ali Paşa Camii), is located in the Citadel of Cairo, Egypt, and was commissioned by Muhammad Ali Pasha between 1830 and 1848.
- Mosque and Madrasa of Sultan Hassan - The Mosque-Madrasa of Sultan Hassan (Arabic: مسجد ومدرسة السلطان حسن) is a monumental mosque and madrasa in Cairo’s historic district. Built between 1356 and 1363 during the Bahri Mamluk period, it was commissioned by Sultan an-Nasir Hasan. The mosque is renowned for its massive size and innovative architectural features and remains one of Cairo’s most impressive historic monuments.
- Al Rifai Mosque - Al-Rifa’i Mosque (Arabic: مسجد الرفاعي, also transliterated as Al-Rifai, Al-Refai, Al-Refa’i, El-Refa’i, and known in English as the Refaai Mosque) is situated in Midan al-Qal’a (Arabic: ميدان القلعة), adjacent to the Cairo Citadel. It now serves as the royal mausoleum for Muhammad Ali’s family. The building is located opposite the Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Hassan, dating from around 1361.
- Al-Azhar Mosque - Al-Azhar Mosque (Arabic: الجامع الأزهر, romanized: al-Jāmiʿ al-ʾAzhar, meaning ‘The Resplendent Congregational Mosque’), commonly known in Egypt as al-Azhar, is an Egyptian mosque in Islamic Cairo. It was commissioned by Jawhar al-Siqilli for the newly established capital city in 970.
