Pyramids of Giza - Begin your journey from the designated location with your tour guide (if the hotel is out of range, the driver will arrange the pick-up) and travel across Cairo to the Great Pyramids of Giza. Here, you will marvel at the pyramids of King Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos. The tour continues with a visit to the Valley Temple of Khafre, where the royal body of Khafre was received. This temple was constructed for the mummification process of King Khafre. Finally, enjoy a close-up view of the Great Sphinx, the guardian of the Pyramids, featuring a lion’s body and the head of King Khafre. (Please note that entering the pyramids requires a special ticket.)
-
Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - Khufu’s pyramid is the only surviving wonder of the ancient seven wonders, standing tall today! It was the tallest building on earth for over 3800 years. The complex includes a valley temple, now buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman; diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been discovered, though the site remains unexcavated. With your expert Egyptologist, you can explore the entire area. (Please note that entering the Great Pyramid requires a special ticket.)
-
Khafre’s Pyramid - The second tallest pyramid in the complex is dedicated to King Chefren or Khafre. The entire complex is well-preserved, allowing you to explore the valley temple and the causeway of King Khafre with your Egyptologist. (Please note that entering the pyramids requires a special ticket.)
-
Menkaure Pyramid - The smallest pyramid on the Giza plateau, now approximately 61 meters high, is unique due to the granite outer layer that remains on its lower part. The granite was sourced from Aswan, over 1000 kilometers from Giza.
-
Panoramic view of the Pyramids - Next, visit a panoramic viewpoint of the six pyramids and the city of Giza, where you will spend 30 minutes taking photos and enjoying the scenery. The panorama is a fantastic spot for a camel ride.
-
Great Sphinx - With the same entry ticket to the pyramids area, you will have a close-up view of the Great Sphinx, the guardian of the Pyramids, with a lion’s body and the head of King Khafre. Take as many photos as you like with assistance from our guide, who are also expert photographers. Then, begin your journey back to your hotel.
