Unforgettable whale walk - The girl who guided us was lovely, offered to hand out the explanations we would not have understood. This trip is worth hiring. The boat was getting pretty close to the whales so we saw them very closely. Fully recommended.

Whale watching boat trip - Enjoyable boat trip along beautiful fjords. Easy and speedy boarding, Calm sea. Boat was half full so easy to move around the boat. Saw 6 humpback whales and company sends close up photos on request after the trip which is a bonus. Hot drinks can be purchased onboard so had a lovely hot chocolate on the way back to Akureyri.

Lots of whales feeding in the North Atlantic - It was cold out there but we saw plenty of whales. Our tour guide explained that unlike when in warm waters, these whales are feeding in the North Atlantic and they don't waste their energy throwing their body out of the water. So we saw a lot of whales but mostly their blow hole activity and then a bit of the body as they turned to go deep, leaving us with a tail to photograph as they dove down. We were happy with the boat and the option to go inside to warm up.

Nice experience, but lasted less than what was paid. - The tour was very nice, we spotted several whales but all from afar, clearly it's a coincidence, sometimes you can spot them up close and other times from a distance, it's nobody's fault. The only note that I would say is that despite the tour was confirmed and paid for 3 hours, it actually lasted 2 hours and 30 minutes, I found this little correct, half an hour more, as per booking, maybe it would have allowed you to see some whales up close, who knows. In addition, the round trip takes a long time, so in fact start the whales if it goes buckets for 1 hour.
