- Godafoss - The journey from Akureyri to Goðafoss, also known as the Waterfall of the Gods, is both magnificent and majestic. The drive takes approximately 35 minutes, and we will spend 40 minutes at the waterfall.
- Dimmuborgir Lava Formations - From Godafoss, we drive 40 minutes to Dimmuborgir. Here, we will hike through the stunning lava maze and enjoy nature. There is an option to have lunch at the restaurant. This stop lasts 60 minutes.
- Namafjall Hverir - From Dimmuborgir, we have a 20-minute drive to the geothermal area with its wondrous bubbling mud pits. We will stop here for 20 minutes.
- Dettifoss Waterfall - From Hverir, we drive 40 minutes to Europe’s highest and most powerful waterfall, Dettifoss. We will spend an hour enjoying the waterfall.
- Hljooaklettar - We drive 35 minutes from Dettifoss to Hljodaklettar. We will hike around Hljodaklettar for 45 minutes.
- Asbyrgi - The drive from Hljodaklettar to Asbyrgi takes around 20 minutes. Asbyrgi Canyon, shaped like a horse’s hoof, is a wonderful nature paradise where we will hike for 35 minutes.
- Husavik - The drive from Asbyrgi to Husavik takes around 50 minutes. We will stop for photos and bathroom breaks for 20 minutes.
- Akureyri - We will head back to Akureyri through scenic nature, with a couple of photo stops along the way. This drive takes around 80 minutes.
