A Rocky Start to a Serene Adventure

The day began with a bit of chaos, as many great adventures do. My partner and I were wrapping up our honeymoon in Mexico, and we had yet to snorkel—a must-do on our list. We decided to book a last-minute snorkeling tour in Akumal Bay, hoping to swim with the famed sea turtles. The morning of the tour, our taxi from Playa del Carmen to Akumal had a blowout on the highway. The driver, distracted by his phone, left us feeling anxious and late.
